About this ebook

The devil hates us so much. He tries anything to the body, but he can't touch the soul. That's why I keep my body under subjection. I learned his tactics over the years. We have to watch those spirits and rebuke them as Jesus did. When he taught the disciples it was a spiritual teaching in the flesh, that's how they understood spiritual things. With Paul, the teaching from the beginning was spiritual in the Spirit. He understood spiritual things spiritually. He understood the spiritual connotations of life and godliness. Jesus taught the disciples, Christ taught Paul. He learned spiritual things spiritually where he applied everything natural to God and the Word. Jesus taught the disciples how to apply spiritual things to the natural understanding. With Paul, he lost sight of the world that he saw only Jesus. No one with him at the time of his conversion saw Jesus Christ, but they heard someone speaking. Paul saw and heard; in Christ, we see him and hear him. In the church, without the Holy Ghost, we only hear the Word, but is never able to see or understand what he is saying until we receive all of him. He is the Word lived. We are living souls that also live in the body that need the Word spoken that the Holy Ghost hears and make us alive again. We become lively stoneswe hear and obey the Word because the Spirit makes it alive to us. Better get a deeper perspective!

I write about myself and the truth of God's Word and righteous nature as I have learned and come to know. I also maintain a honorable respect for him and endeavor as I have been taught; to try to teach that we can live holy and righteous in this present world. How we go by accepting Christ in our life and allowing Him to live in us determines if we become a Bible Believer or not. We can live Holy to the fullest of our potential now. We are told about our self; the good the ugly and the bad through the Word. As I think about my life now and what is going on, I understand the plight of man. Most times things we know may not be acceptable to be spoken at that time; for they won't be received properly In a time of anger. But the Word is true; God is true and we need the leading and guiding of the Holy Ghost to live this life; for God is the very breath we breathe. I went through a lot to get to where I am now and where I stand with God. I am not the desperate woman that I had been portrayed to be in time past. I am a woman, a real Bible Believer, a true vessel of God that loves Christ, and I am in Christ Jesus. This is what being a real Bible Believer is about. Getting to know God as I know Him now took a strong, firm foundation that was rooted in me at the feet of my grandmother, Rosetta Cobb. After everyone was gone to bed at night, she took time with me to teach me, she taught me the Word. She read the Word to me, as well as listen when I read the Word too! She explained many things to me. She taught me how to pray and prayed along with me. My grandmother left me with a spiritual inheritance of love and that of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am thankful yet today of that firm foundation, that firm belief she left me with at her death. Before she died she reminded me of what God had promised me; God's going to always make a way for you. I raised my children in like manner to give them a strong foundation in Christ. I dedicate this book to her memory.

    Introduction

No man that wareth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life that he may please him whom hath chosen him to be a soldier, II Timothy 2:4.

Isaiah 12:1-6 and in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee; though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song: he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation and in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things; this is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion; for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of them.

In the present time that man live in, Satan has told the Church Of Jesus Christ that it has need to loosen its standards. He has told Christians that anything goes. Well beyond popular belief, everything outside of the will of God has no place in the lives of Christians. We are not a church without standards. Our standards have been set forth in God’s Holy Word since the beginning. His Word remains the same today, as it was on yesterday. God’s Word is immutable and changes not. People change, times change and circumstances change, but God’s Word remains the same always.

The Church has become too loose:

(1). The Church have lowered or ignored the moral standards that God set forth for them to live by

(2). The Church allows anything, just as long as the money keep coming in, the soul of a man does not matter any longer

(3). The Church has adapted itself to the world that they may be accepted

What God required at the beginning of creation, the Church of the world today makes references that it is tradition and the old church. There is no old church, but there is an Old Testament and the Old Testament, is referenced by the New Testament and attests to everything written therein. Do we realize that God who has called us knows who we are and if we trust Him completely? No matter what side we are on, in trouble, out of trouble, faced with financial situations, uncomfortable circumstances, facing rejection or the pits of life; God is there. He knows all things; the good, the bad and the ugly.

God will be there! Trust him for all! Separate yourself for his purpose and be true to Him and He will be true to you. Don’t deny Him by serving the pleasure of sin for a season for we may get caught up in it and lose our soul. God gets tired too! His heart pains too at man’s sin. When someone we love hurts us; our heart pains. Imagine how God that created and made us in his image feels!

On both sides of the street, God is there! God our Father in Heaven is calling for obedience from man, the whole of mankind. Mankind has gone so far away from God’s Holy Ordinances. We have left off and turned away from all God has ordained for man.

We the creature stands in God way and sinners too with our disloyal ways to God. God has given all those things as we have desired therefore we should show him the glory, honor and respect due him through obedience to all He has said in his Word we should do.

He calls for holiness; in strict obedience. We individually have a call to obedience. It is the state, fact, or an instance of obeying or a willingness to obey; submission. Obedient means we give into the orders or instructions of one in authority. God is our authority in Heaven and Earth. He is in control of all things; man included. We are to submit to His control and not resist His dominance. God expects to manage man through his submission to Him, His Word, and His Spirit. When we learn to obey God we will find that we have a peace even when we are under attack for doing what’s right.

When we obey God as He says we are giving him respect and reverence with an attitude of thanks for Him loving us. We are in full compliance for we yield meekly to His Commands and Word. Things that have happened in our lives bring us to a place of loving and trusting God with a desire to be agreeable where we readily submit and be disciplined. Now we are ready to obey; carrying out the orders and instructions written. We carry them out as directed by God, guided by the Word, and submitted to the control of the Spirit’s (conscience) leading. God wants obedience from man!

    Separated For God’s Purpose

John 17:14 I have given them thy Word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

We must become a broken vessel that we come in relationship with God and grow therein as we learn of him. Isaiah 50:4 says the Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned that I may know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning; he wakeneth my ear to hear as the learned.

It’s no more I that lives this life but Christ that lives in me; I have been separated from the world for his purpose. We are separated to Christ and even as He is not of this world; we too are not of this world. To be in the perfect Will of God we must realize that it’s not our purpose of worldliness, desires and beautiful things of this world to have; but He who created and made the things possible to serve His purpose.

Jacob was first denied the woman he loved by her father, his uncle Laban. He was tricked; he sent Leah into the marriage tent instead of Rachel. Jacob had to work 7 years again to have Rachel as his wife. He was delayed but not denied. Rachel then was barren most of her life as she watched her sister Leah birth forth ten sons for the man she loved.

In Genesis 30:22 God remembered Rachel and God hearkened unto her and opened her womb and she conceived and bare a son and said, God has taken away my reproach; and she called his name Joseph and said the Lord will add unto me another son.

Joseph was born to Jacob and Rachel in their old age; they were in their 90’s. She was delayed but not denied. In God’s timing she birth forth a son, one special to God. Then she had another son Benjamin before she died. He too will serve a special purpose to Jacob.

Joseph was special to God. God had a special purpose for his life.

Now what is purpose? Purpose is something one intends to get or do; intention, aim. It is their resolution and determination. It is the object for which something exists or is done with a specific end in view. We are purposed by design, originally made by God himself.

Now as Joseph has reached the tender age of 17 he is challenged with some things that will change his life forever. He will be separated from his family for God’s purpose. His father had given him a coat of many colors that excited envy and sparked hatred in the hearts of his older brothers.

    1. We see here that we must sever some relationships for God’s purpose:

God gave Joseph two dreams. He told his father and his brothers of his dreams whose hatred and jealous hearts was stirred at the thought of them bowing down before him and giving him obeisance. Just who do he think he is? It wasn’t enough he was their dad’s favorite son, now he has gone too far. The dreams sparked ill will toward him. Joseph had been even special since birth. Here a separation of the minds came.

    2. Separated means we are set apart, having distinguished differences, singled out from others for a special purpose:

Joseph is singled out to be picked on and put away from his family. His father sent him to check on the welfare of his brothers who when they saw him; thought to kill him. Ruben the oldest brother said no. They though decided to sell him to some Midianite Merchantmen who sold him as a slave to Potiphar who was the King’s overseer over his guards. He was separated for God’s purpose. He would be delayed seeing his family.

    3. God’s purpose and goodwill with us is intentionally to tear down Satan’s kingdom; with a good result or effect. We were created to the praise of God’s glory to glorify Him.

While he served in Pharaoh’s house he had to escape, withdraw himself from, part; company with and go another way than Potiphar’s wife wanted him to go. She tried to seduce Joseph and he ran away from her, but forgot his coat. He took a different route from the norm that caused him some trouble. When Potiphar would come home; his wife lied on Joseph saying he tried to rape her. Joseph though tore down Satan’s kingdom that would take control of him with sin. He ceased to associate himself with sin. Sin is a choice we make!

    4. To keep God’s purpose alive in our life we become distinct or disengaged, thought of or having individual form or function, withdraw from others previously united, joined or assembled or closely connected or associated with.

Joseph went to jail for the choice he made for God’s purpose. He chose to function in that which he had been taught. It was for God’s purpose.

He again was separated from those he loved. We too must sever some things and relationships for God to use us. Joseph had dreams but his purpose in that dream had not been recognized yet. All he knew was things were happening but he didn’t know or understand why. God will cause some things and relationships to be severed in our lives for his positioned purpose.

    5. We won’t understand all we go through, we won’t understand what is happening, the why factor comes in. We don’t ask God why, we go with the flow of purpose and learn to be content in whatever state we are in.

    Joseph now in prison
