My head hurts..? I put my hand on the back of my head. Huh, it’s wet? I bring my hand back around and I could not tear my eyes away from the red liquid running down my arm. Why? I start to look around, but my vision keeps fading in and out. When I look over to the right, I can see someone lying on the ground not too far away from me. I can almost recognize who it is. I made myself focus on the person and then I realized it was my little sister. I have to get to her… but I don’t think I can move. I try to start getting up but someone kicks me back down to the ground.

Well, well, well. What do we have here? I must admit, you are one strong little girl. I look up and I see some man that I never met before. I look at his cold eyes and ask him with tears in my eyes, Why are you doing this? The man starts laughing and the sound reminded me of a chuckling hyena. You know the reason really. You and your little sister were just in the wrong place at the wrong time sweetie. The look in his eyes turned dark like a black hole. Don’t worry, I’ll make this quick. The man brings up his hand. All I can think is am I going to die? His fist was just inches away from my face, I close me eyes Huh? nothing is happning? I open my eyes I see a other mans hand had grabbed ahold of his wrist, the only thing I could make out was that this guy had glowing red eyes. Everthing seemed to go in slow motion, the man with the red eyes brought his other hand up and it looked liked he just cut though the air but when he did the guy that almost killed me his head was gone.

My body started to feel so heavy, and my vision was getting worse. The world felt like it was getting farther away. Your in really bad shape don’t worry I’m here to help you. I didn’t have the strength to do anything, We should kill them they have seen us, it’s too risky to let them walk away. I hear another strange guy say in the back ground. The man with the red eyes walks over to me and picks me up then sets down with me on his lap then looks over at the guy. I’m not going to kill innocent children, and I will not let you get close to them, I’ll kill you if you try. Same here you are not going anywere near them. I look over and I see another tall man he was walking over to my sister, You poor thing you have been though alot. The tall man leans down and picks up my sister. The man with the red eyes looks back down to me. Don’t worry when you wake up this will all be just one bad dream. The man brings his hand cloes to my face. Who are….

Chapter 1

Man I Don’t want to get up. I could hear my alarm clock going off in the background. Damn I don’t want to move. I make myself get up and shut my clock off. I guess I should get dressed. I go over to my closet to see what I feel like wearing today. I hear someone banging on my door. Hey Sky, are you up yet!? I heard my little sister Lilly ask on the other side of the door, I’m coming in. Lilly opens the door and walking into my room. She had her dark auburn hair in a pony tail, and her eyes were a light brown. Really, your not even dressed yet. Lilly starts to walk over to me. I just got up, I’m not like you, I actualy like my sleep. I say back to her in a teasing tone. I can see that, I mean your hair still looks like a rat’s nest. Lilly starts laughing then flops down on my bed.

I turn back to my closet and find a purple tanktop. I go over to my dresser and I find a pair blue jean shorts, and I start to get dressed. Man I love your long black hair, and your light blues eyes make it stand out I’m so jealous. Lilly lays back on my bed. Hey did you have that dream last night? I stop what I’m doing then look over at her. Yes I did. I’m guessing you did too? Lilly sits back up and looks at me. Yeah, why do you think we keep having it?

I finish getting dressed, then walk over to the bed and sit down. I’m not sure but we’ve had it since I was five and you were four, and it seems that we always have it around this time of the year…I’m going to ask you one more time are you sure you want to go this year? Please tell me your not doing this for me. Lilly stays silent for a minute then looks over at me. Yes I am. Okay then I’ll make sure nothing happens to you I promise.

I head to my master Sai’s dojo. My master is a very strong man, I don’t know many people that could beat him in a fight for a guy in his late fifties he looks really good. He has alway been there for me, and he has trained me since I was very young, but I have never been able to beat him in a real fight, and he is like the father I never had.

I make it up to the doors of the dojo and walk inside. As I enter I see he has laid out some large mats for us to use today. I look around and see him sitting on one of the mats with his legs crisscrossed and his eyes closed like he is meditating. Sai’s long black hair is pulled back in a pony tail, and you see the japanese in him, he is very well built.

Hello Sky. Sai says as he opens his eyes and looks over at me. Hello Master. I’m sorry if I disturbed you. I say as I put my hands together and bow my head. It’s okay…I have a questen for you. I heard that you are going to the castle this year with you sister, is that true? I keep my head bowed Yes its true, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner. I was afraid that you would tell me no. Sai gets up and walks over to me.

I see. Well you’re not to far off, but you are responsible for choosing your own fate. I have no right to stop you, so just promise me one thing. I raise my head and look at him. What is it? Sai brings his hand up and holds it out to me. Promise me that you will survive. I take his hand and shake it. I promise. He smiles and says, Good now lets begin your training today shall we. He lets go of my hand then turns and walks over to the center of the mat then turns back to me. Now!! Ready yourself!! This is our last day to train you before you go, I’m not going to go easy on you. I tie my hair back and walk up to him, I bring my hands together and bow. Yes, Master!! Understood!!

I head over to my friend Jala’s House. We have been friends since grade school. She has always been there for me anytime I needed help. She has really red hair that reminds me of a big bright strawberry every time I see it, and she is so little she still looks like a kid but she is twenty two just like me, even though she is so little she doesn’t let people walk all over her, and she won’t go down without a fight.

Man I don’t know how to tell her I’m going this year. I mumble to myself and put my hands in my pockets. Lilly!!! Hey!!! Over here!!! I Look up to see my friend Jala waving her hand as she was running towards me. Jala stops in front of me then puts her hands on her knees breathing heavily. Hey…I heard…you were…going to the…castle, is it true? She asks as she tries to catch her breath.

After a minute or two she looks up at me then asks. Well is it true? I look away from her then look back. Yes it’s true. Jala pulls me into a hug I could feel her body trembling. I…I don’t want my best friend to disappear!…Or die! I could feel the hot liquid running down her face.

I’m sorry. I say as I wrap my arms aound her. Why are you going? I give her one last squeeze before I let her go, I take a step back, and look her in the eyes. It’s something I have to do. Jala looks down at the ground then looks back up. This is about Sky, isn’t it? I nod my head. Yes it is. Jala steps beside me then tucks her arm in mine, and gives me a big smile. I see…So she’s going to be look for Amanda then? I would have to say I would do the same thing if it were you. So don’t forget you better come back.

I lay my head on her shoulder as we start walking down the sidewalk to head to her house. You know you won’t be allowed to go when it comes back around, ha ha you’re not even allowed to do it now. Lilly starts to laugh too. Yeah, true I don’t want to break up with my boyfriend Shane, and I know I have to be single in order to go there. But I would find a way to go and look for you. I know and thank you for being my best friend I’ll never forget you and I will always love you.

Chapter 2

I look out the window in my favorite spot here in our big library at our castle. I could see storm clouds gathering around outside. Man I hope this year isn’t going to be as boring as last year. I could see headlights coming up the long driveway getting closer to the big gate we have out front. I wonder if there is going to be anyone worth keeping alive this year.

Hey there Zake hows it going? I look over and see my friend Killua. He had his hair spiked up, a dress shirt with the two top buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, Whats the matter, mister playboy blond hair? You know I have to ask. How is it you can keep your hair down and just the right angle where it dosen’t cover your emerld green eyes but it sets just right above it? I mean I have to say I’m envious. Killua says as he starts laughing.

I’m not sure I could ask you how can someone with dark brown hair use way to much hair gel for there own good and not make it look greasy? And to top it off, how can your dark gray and silver eyes not creep someone out? Killua rolls his eyes and
