Lannie Lovell

Lannie Lovell is the proud mother of three. She dedicated the early part of her life to raising her children. Lannie has worked with high risk teenage girls for over 10 years. She is a para educator who has acted as a mentor and youth counselor. Lannie is the author of Journey to Freedom. Lannie is using her voice to speak for victims of child sexual abuse who cannot speak for themselves. She seeks to bring the hope of deliverance and healing for those that have already endured this trauma. Lannie uses every opportunity to educate others to prevent sexual abuse from happening to children and to bring healing to others. At the same time Lannie wants children to know that they do not have to be afraid to tell someone. Lannie’s goal is to reach as many people as she can so that they know they are not alone and they no longer have to remain silent. Helping them to understand that what happened to them is not their fault and they do not have to walk in shame and guilt. Lannie not only wants to help prevent this from happening to others but to also help bring healing and comfort to those who have survived abuse.  Lannie hopes that her speaking out will help lead others on their “Journey to Freedom”

    Dedication

This book is dedicated to you Lord because without your grace and mercy I would not be here. The depth of your love for me is far too great for me to comprehend. I thank you for not giving up on me even when I wanted to give up on myself. Thank you for loving and encouraging me to be the woman that you created me to be and thank you for the privilege of writing this book in hopes of helping others. Thank you for restoring my voice.

To my children, Takesha, Sierra and Peace you are my gifts from God. Thank you for loving me through my process. I know it wasn’t easy. I love you all more than words can express. It has been my love for you that helped me to keep going when so many times I wanted to give up. I am so honored that God chose me to be your mother.

To my readers who have also survived abuse. Thank you for not giving up in the midst of your struggle. There are so many people that didn’t make it through the abuse. We now have the opportunity to be a voice for them and the many others that have not yet found their voice. That is why I wanted to write this book in such a way that even a child could understand the importance of not keeping silent. This book is based upon my experiences and what I have learned about abuse and how it affected me. Nothing that was done to a person that has suffered abuse was their fault. We are not what has been done to us neither does the shame and guilt belong to us. I pray for healing and deliverance for the readers of this book.

    Vision

For anyone that has been held captive, I want you to know that you are not alone. I too have been through things that tried to keep me in bondage. But today I am determined to become all that God has created me to be. If you have ever been abused, rejected and misunderstood know that God has a purpose for your life. You can take back your authority from those who have hurt you and begin to enjoy your Journey to Freedom. You can walk in Victory!

God loves you and He hears the cries of the oppressed. He cares about all who are in physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual prisons and he wants to heal you.

Isaiah 61:1-2 NKJV The spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn.

Do you see from the scriptures that Jesus has come to set us free from every type of prison that has tried to keep us from becoming the men, women and even children that He has called us to be in Christ Jesus?

And yet again, Luke 4:18-19 NKJV says, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captive and recovery of sight to the blind, to
