I retired after teaching public elementary school for thirty years. I now teach adult ESL three mornings a week. Drove an 18-wheeler in forty-eight contiguous states and Canada for three years. Huge animal lover and I build my life around them. Of the forty-one animals we had in the twenty-four years we were married, only four were actively sought out and bought by us. The rest were "foundlings" who made their way to us. I am a mom and a grandmother. My husband (deceased) and I worked on this book together and laughed and cried at some of the memories.
