    You Know What ’Um Sayin’ ? – Q & A

    Afraid Of Fear

A Dark One comes to me

    Shape-Shifting once and more

    So many forms I recognize,

    tho’, none I’ve seen before

    he states his presence, why

    with Backwards-Fated List

    But One

    has spoken to me

    of what he,

    yet, has missed

And, when that One did speak,

I heard what He would say

    As Word came unto me

    that HE, alone,

    would name MY Day

    So when…

    he looks into my eyes

    I look into his eyes

I fear not what he tells

    I watch his wings

    reclaim the Skies

    for that

his Call is not my own

    Hence

I would not hear his Voice

My Life, my World so Beautiful

My "FATE" is, lone,.. MY choice

    For,..

when a Day shall Pen my name,

    then will I follow true

Yet, I shall give this Day

that I am called to do

    For, I know my GOD

    And, my GOD knows me

    Zavin Lyte 1/8/2008

    My Race Has Run

To whom shall bear the face of saddened hearts

when promises unsaved shall rend the soul

And futile pinings win but minor part

Yet, amplifies itself in Grander role

Falling from the vine while ripened not

when traits can not yet say me to a Gender

Compelled to clinch my fists and live My lot

Yet, ease my Day with subtle, somber splendor

Would that I know this Path was mine to take

can stand in readiness, so tall and right

to place my Slumbers ’twixt my times awake

that Labors walk my fullest way to night

    And,

when self-surrendered tears shall fret no more

as weeping cantors final to the sun,

shall Heaven send its’ beauty to my door

            and give me Rest

    For, long…

    my Race has run

            Amen
