Gabrielle Kniery

Gabrielle Kniery was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. Her eyes were set on the big city. In 2008 she got her first taste of New York, where she began modeling. By 2010, she was casted for the CW TV series America’s Next Top Model. Allowing her to build a platform for herself.Residing in New York City, among all things Gabrielle went through many obstacles to follow her dreams, nothing to come easy. Through many of her experiences, she would find herself consumed writing in her journal. Writing became an escape from her reality. As her writing began to inspire her, and others around, she then found her niche, her strength to move through the current.

To my grandfather James Aloysius Kniery, all that I am is because of my mother who raised me. Without you, there would be no her or I. The greatest gift you have given me, was instilling faith within this family.

To my mother, you are my rock, you are my ladder, when all was too high to reach. You made everything possible. This book wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for you expanding my imagination through folklore, fairytales, and books as a young one.

Unraveling can be beautiful.

It isn’t always a tragedy.

A young woman finding herself,

Finding her gravity

New city, new people, you don’t know my name.

Nowhere to sleep but I had a dream.

Not a dollar to my name, but I knew how to survive.

Unsure of my direction, but faith led the way.

Within every step taken, consistently feeling my heart breaking.

Courage kept me afloat.

Knowing every encounter, every word spoken, was leading me to where I was supposed to be in this moment.

Many decisions were mistakes, pulling me back.

But life had to feed me experience.

Skin growing thicker, a determined heart.

Nothing belongs to me because I am not all I am to be.

So who am I to hoarder things and beings in my life.

I must let go of everything that I can’t promise a permanent position in my life.

She gazed at the world, with eyes that spoke, Inspire me.

Talk to me how the sun at day vividly lights up sea.
