Brooke Frautschi

Brooke was born, raised, and educated in Virginia. Her first story was published at age nine, and her first novel, The Mystery of Canoe Creek, was published as a newspaper serial. Her picture books cover a wide range of adventures and unusual animal stories—Fables From the Phoenix Zoo and The Currawong Collection (bird shows featuring the Australian Currawong). Today, Brooke finds aquariums as exciting as zoos, fascinated by the skills of octopuses—who are very smart sea creatures indeed.
