Bill Belknap

Bill Belknap was an engineer and worked at drilling and producing oil and gas wells. He ultimately became an oil company executive. Following retirement, he did consulting work and voluntary mission work for his church. He wrote this book to share how he learned to know and hear God.

PREFACE

S oon after my wife Donna Kaye’s death, I acknowledged her love and Faith in God, me and all people with the epitaph on her tomb stone True Love Knows No Bounds. And shortly after that, I wrote a long poem regarding her life using ‘True Love Knows No Bounds as its theme. The writing of this poem gave me the idea of writing an essay about learning the true meaning of unconditional love and Faith from Donna. A good friend had given me C. S, Lewis’s book A Grief Observed" which also prompted me to consider more seriously writing about Donna. After much deliberation and prayer, and with God’s divine help, I began my writing.

Since my background was engineering and executive management, writing about love and Faith was new to me, but with God’s help, the more I wrote the easier my writing became.

In this essay, I have openly and truthfully described my experiences in everyday life of learning the importance of love and Faith in our everyday living. Our unconditional Faith in God, and the importance of frequent prayer in asking for and allowing God to lead us throughout our lives are emphasized by recounting my personal life experiences.

Not only have I memorialize Donna’s part in teaching me about love and Faith, but at the encouragement of my son, I have written about the significant experiences throughout my entire life regarding love and Faith, and how God has always been there helping me.
