    FOREWORD

"Biblically, waiting is not just something we have to do until we get what we want. Waiting is part of the process of becoming what God wants us to be. – John Ortberg

As much as it may appear to be an accident or mishap, nothing happens before it’s time. Timing is everything. We live in time, by time and for time. God on the other hand, does not live in the capsule of time nor is He controlled by time. Yet, He uses the process of time to accomplish His divine purpose in our lives.

The scriptures confirm the fact that while God is not controlled by time, He waits for the fullness of time (Galatians 4:4-5) or the set time (Psalm 102:13) even as He works through the process of shaping and molding us in the meantime.

I agree with H. Oral Brown that far too often, we find ourselves being defeated in the waiting battle. Many believers are failing and falling short of the manifested presence and power of God because they are not willing to wait for the fullness of time. It is imperative that we understand that the promise is wrapped up in the process. Since we live within the boundaries of time, it is vital that we understand that if we don’t have the will to wait, we will become wounded by time.

In Wounded Warriors of Time, H. Oral Brown shares some of his life’s experiences and response to waiting. Some of his responses, as he indicates were not always the right response. As he revealed in this book, ultimately he had to pay the price for not waiting. I am deeply moved by his humility as a Pastor in sharing some of his shortcomings as he waits for God.

How should believers respond to the waiting process? What should be our attitude while we are waiting? What are the rewards for waiting? In this book, Brown reveals the answer to these and other pertinent questions.

It is my prayer that the message in this book permeates and ultimately transform your entire life as you wait for the full manifestation of the promises of God in your life. We are all warriors of time through having to wait on, and wrestle within its borders. It is my prayer that you apply the message in this book so that no matter what you face in life, you will be equipped to overcome, because you have been anointed to Walk in Victory.
