    DEDICATION

To family, friends, and everyone who witnessed God’s blessings, thanked God for my healing, encouraged me with kind words, made me laugh, cried tears of joy or cared for me on my journey of faith and victory through this storm.

    INTRODUCTION

I proclaim, declare, and affirm that God’s Word is true! He still honors His promise: Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you, as stated in Hebrews 13:11b. In spite of ourselves, He is faithful! He only requires that we believe, be obedient, and have faith in His Word. In the first chapter of Hebrews we are told that faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. It was faith, along with grace and mercy, that sustained me through the storm that clouded my life in 2006. I hoped and prayed for my healing from a disease that has no cure, knowing that the evidence of that healing was not in the medication consumed, not in laboratory reports nor in the hands of the doctors, it was in the Word. Matthew 21:22 tells us: If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. I believed it, I prayed for it, stood on His promise, and saw it come to pass!

When this storm hit, it was my belief that how one responds in a storm is the reflection of what he believes about God. His Grace and Mercy had afforded me enough time to learn that all I needed to do was believe and have faith in His word in order to get through not only this, but any storm. It is a privilege and an honor to know that God chose me before He created the world and equipped me with everything I would need to do His will and weather any storm.

The Lord has so abundantly blessed me through this storm! I share my testimony to assure others that they too can depend on God to bring them through their storm, no matter what kind or how big they might consider it to be. The only question that I could answer no to God is, the one posed in Jeremiah 32:27: I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?

He loves all of His creation and desires that none perish, but come into the knowledge of His Son Jesus Christ, the Name by which all men must be saved. He showed how much He loves us by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus, to rescue us from the enemy. As an expression of how important you are to God and to me, when the personal pronoun you is used in this writing, it is capitalized thus, You.

There were four key words that stood out as I began writing this book: Purpose, Process, Patience, and Power I call them my stepping-stones. Typically, stepping stones are solid, stable, and placed in the ground, and lead to a specific place; looking back they were what God provided to assure me that He was with me. The stepping-stones also gave me peace and increased my faith through this stormy journey. These stepping-stones led me to Victory. The Lord revealed to me that there was a purpose for my journey. He was not just having me go through it for the sake of doing so, but that all the glory would be His. Each part of the process, by definition, was gradual and extended over a time period of which God was in total control. By faith, He provided me with patience and power to get through my storm.

    Purpose, Process, Patience and Power

I share what I have experienced in the past eight years to give some people hope, to encourage others in their faith, to share the ups and downs encountered along the way, and to remind us that we all have a purpose to fulfill here on earth. My testimony is being shared as a reminder that when Elohim, God the Creator, created man, He did so to fulfill His will through our purpose here on Earth. His Children (believers) are His ambassadors in this foreign land. Dominion was given to man. We are in the world but not of it. Because He does everything decently and in order, He expects no less from us. Each of us has a specific purpose to perform here on Earth. In the model prayer that Jesus taught His disciples, it reads in part…on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10b). In order for that to happen, God depends on each of us to desire to know our purpose; request it of Him, The Father; pursue it through Jesus, The Son with the guidance of The Holy Spirit. Part of my purpose here on Earth is to share a few divine miles of my journey that have been a blessing to me and mine. If I don’t share this journey, my storm will have been in vain. No matter how hard it seemed to me from time to time, He showed Himself strong and kept me through it all. Sometimes when my hope or faith grew shallow, I asked God to increase it, knowing that when I am weak, He is strong. When
