About this ebook

Dreaming with the Angels caters to young readers with a theme that focuses on Gods use of angels and dreams in foretelling, celebrating, warning, and sharing the birth, death, resurrection, and ascension of His Son, Jesus Christ. Its composition is presented in a brief, factual, chronological, and Scripture-based approach on about a sixth-grade level as to why Jesus came to this planet in human form more than two thousand years ago. It is also ideal as a supplement to curricula offered for private Christian academies and homeschooling.

Whether or not weve had a personal encounter with angels or a vision sent by God, there is no reason Christians cant dream about their future life of paradise in heaven with God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, along with a multitude of angels and fellow believers.

    PREFACE

Because I’ve employed a theme of heavenly angels and messianic dreams throughout this book, some might assume I’ve had first-hand encounters with angels and/or prophetic visions. I have not—or if so, I blundered and didn’t recognize them as such. That’s not to say I haven’t had dreams of life in Heaven or soaring on wings, but those occurrences did not reflect biblical depictions of eternal glory.

Fortunately, I’ve never had nightmares of Hell or demonic angels, although a ghostly figure in a single unpleasant dream I had many years ago as a college student advised me to leave it alone regarding a subject matter I was writing about at the time.

It’s a long story, but in summary, I was investigating a tall tale by classmates who claimed they had provoked a visit from a dead spirit by way of a séance. They invited me to their next session, but I wisely declined because of the dream.

Even if these students were lying, this paranormal phenomenon CAN be induced—according to the Bible—which firmly warns against such activity because it involves demonic manipulation. (1st Samuel 28:3-20)(Deuteronomy 18:9-22)
