    PREFACE

This book is one out of five in the book series called D.A.T.S.L.I.F.E. This first book is actually book five because each book will be released counting down from five to one instead of counting up one to five. This book is written for one reason and one reason only: to change the world. There is a well-known phrase that I hear growing up. It states, In order to change the world, you must first change yourself. Throughout this book, and the book series as a whole, I will present analogies, personal quotes, life formulas, definitions, personal speeches, and short stories filled with motivation and inspiration.

    CHAPTER D

    Do

Do is a word that all people should use daily. The difference between someone achieving all their goals and someone who doesn’t is the number of times they say or apply the word do (without saying the words I can’t before it) to their daily lives amid obstacles and challenges.

Below are the five definitions of the word do:

    • Definition number one of the word do is to perform. If the stage is set and your name is called, you must perform an action.

    • Definition number two is to complete or finish. As you are performing, you must give your best and not slack off to complete or finish your performance.

    • Definition number three is to cause. Make your doings mean something. After you perform your action on a stage set to be viewed by an audience, make your action on that stage cause the audience to compliment or criticize. Cause the crowd to applaud and compliment you for your doings and for those who decide to criticize, take the good out of it and perform better on the next stage set for you. If your doings does not cause the crowd, to move in neither a compliment nor criticizing direction, your doings are not productive but simply take it as a lesson learned and prepare for the next stage set for you to perform.

    • Definition number four is to exert effort. To exert effort is to spur oneself into action. After you have performed and moved the audience, evaluate the pros and cons of your doings. To give a better performance on your next stage should be a conscious effort. Take all the compliments and criticisms and use them to raise the bar as you strive for excellence or even perfection.

    • Definition number five
