As a true expression

of how I feel

A Moment in Time

It’s a moment in time

when reality hits.

That realisation,

all at once, is an understanding that

the one you are with is

the one that you want,

the one that you love.

The future is clear, the clarity complete.

No one else

provides you with

the joyous acclamation

that love is not an ethereal dream,

beyond reach or understanding.

Love becomes a tangible entity

that takes over your life,

provides sustenance

to sustain and nurture,

not just one,

but two as one.

Afterglow

It is the afterglow that is remembered

Long after the brilliance subsides.

The starburst, its radiance,

All at once it comes and goes,

Its beauty intense, brief,

Like a shooting star across the night sky,

A silver streak across a velvety black background.

Love comes, like a comet,

A dazzling light followed by a glow, trailing, etched across the sky.

In a second, the brilliance overshadowed.

As the glow settles,

A deep and intense love remains,

Not here for a moment,

Not here to be overshadowed,

Here to last.

Let your love shine, let it create the afterglow.

All I See Is Love

Your freedom sets me free

In truth I hold nothing back from you

My freedom is gained in knowing that

I hold no secrets

Nothing is withheld

In love I could write forever

For you inspire me

Love to me is inspiring and sets me free

Love is the greatest ideal of all
