Maura Walke lives in rural Southern Ontario and works as a registered nurse. In her spare time, she often finds herself outside in the woods or walking along the beautiful shore of Lake Huron. She has always been drawn to water, and as a small child, she learned about the fascinating legend of the selkie. Though she is no longer a child, she never really got that tale out of her head and created this story so that others may enjoy the mystery of the enchanting selkie.
