About this ebook

Newly retired from a rewarding career in mental health services, Elaine appeared to have it all. Nestled in a comfortable lakeside home in Ontarios boreal forest, with strong roots in her community, Elaines life was seen as one of achievement, love and abundance, however emptiness haunted her. She felt she had missed out on something important in life, but could not identify what that was. Close to desperation, Elaine longed and prayed for illumination and the aliveness of her true, authentic self.

Quite unexpectedly, Elaine met an Intuitive through whom she began a healing journey, with two Spirit Guides, Nathan and Mother Ascended Masters who once walked the earth, and who lovingly began teaching Elaine how to reclaim her life.

She learns, through the most challenging yet exhilarating conversations with the Teachers, that she is perfection, created to love and express herself fully in the world. Nathan and Mother teach her about Unfoldment: the process of discovering and allowing all aspects of the Self to emerge and be celebrated.

Written in an endearing format with plenty of humour, The Unfoldment pulls the reader into this vigorous exchange, offering twelve dynamic teachings and concrete applications for living the life you have always desired to live!

The Miracle of Gratitude, The Miracle of Life

    Foreword

A lthough it is common for most books to have a foreword, it was requested by The Teachers that you remain present, and in your own experience, so this is our present moment foreword!

    Introduction

T he small plane banked sharply and twisted through the narrow mountain pass on its final descent for landing, on a short strip wedged in the Kootenay Rockies. I held my breath as the plane screeched to a halt on the abbreviated runway. Offering a silent prayer of gratitude for a safe arrival, I turned my attention to the reason I was here. My dear younger cousin, who was very much like a sister, awaited me, and I was both eager and apprehensive about seeing her. We were well aware that her illness was progressing, and life as she knew it, steadily changing. Nonetheless we were meeting in the picturesque setting of her spiritual community, the place she had long called home. The glory of springtime was in evidence everywhere, and the sun shone brilliantly as if to remind me that for the moment, all was well.

Jostling along towards town in the crowded shuttle, I was euphoric about leaving behind household responsibilities, relationship challenges, the stress of caring for our mentally and physically handicapped housemate, and my endless preoccupation with how to manage better, day-to-day. I imagined that the towering mountain ranges all around created an impenetrable barrier between me, and what I had temporarily left behind.

It was not that there was anything particularly appalling about my life, as much as a steadily growing sense of stagnation. Passion had given way to drudgery, while creative expression fizzled to a near trickle. Many a day gratitude was non-existent. I did not want to admit that I needed to change many aspects of my life. Nor did I want to put much thought into the future, for that was as foreboding as a barren land.

My two-week getaway to the ‘holy land,’ as we called the yoga retreat centre, was seen as a welcome reprieve, even though I was nervous about being with my cousin in her final stages of life. What I did not anticipate, though, was just how good I would feel upon reaching my destination. With each passing day I saw myself come alive. I had the opportunity to participate in the upkeep of the communal garden and grounds, and to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of mountains and lakeside. The sun shone brilliantly, warm winds caressed me, cherry trees cascaded with pink blossoms, and mule deer ambled throughout the property. I slept well, ate wholesome food, and prayed with the community. I fasted for a couple of days and felt renewed. Ironically, as I was gaining strength and experiencing increased vigor, my cousin was losing energy and declining. Emotion welled up in us at times, yet we found a way to honour each other and where we were in the moment. Tears welled up readily, yet this was balanced with much needed reminiscing and laughter.

Gradually I began to feel excited. The people, the level of consciousness, the pristine surroundings, the quality of the visit, and the innovation I witnessed, all fed me like a banquet table. This feeling of renewal was amplified by an atmosphere of gratitude and immersion in the lighter, more positive side of life. I felt like a long-lost traveler returning home. I could truly breathe.

What occurred next surprised me as much as anyone else. I began imagining what it would be like to live in this area, year round. Having always concluded I would never move from my home in central Canada, this was a foreign train of thought. Each time I revisited the scenario, anticipation welled up within me, making me feel almost giddy. I felt like a kid playing hooky from school on the first day of spring. This feeling had been non-existent for a long, long time. It led me to wonder about how I had been living, all these years.

Ever so briefly, even tentatively, I contemplated what it would be like to live in this mountainous region, with its stunning beauty. I then dismissed the idea, thinking of all the things in my life that held me back. Nonetheless, I was enjoying myself so much that I participated wholeheartedly in my visit, in my reverie, and in mental explorations.

Upon arriving home, the doldrums set in. The weightiness of my life began to suffocate me once again. A sense of desperation crept in as I contrasted the lifestyle I had enjoyed for two weeks, with my current reality. There was no way I could fathom changing my life enough to free myself of all the responsibilities I had, financial and otherwise, to move clear across the country. Whether it made my heart sing or not, I just could not see it happening.

Guess where I live today, a year and a half later? Ah! That is to be revealed in this book, along with all that unfolded in tandem with the move. Even though I consider the outcome of this phase of my life remarkable, it is the type of change that is available to us all. It just so happens that I traversed this path by applying the teachings of Ascended Masters. For over two years these Teachers in Spirit taught me about love, and living the life I have come here to live. Not only was I to experience the liberation I yearned for, but also to share their teachings far and wide.

The Teachers taught me through a very dear friend of mine, Denise, who is an intuitive. Her role is that of translator, bringing through The Teachers so that they converse, teach me, and enable me to radically transform my life by applying their teachings. They have done this by speaking through Denise, to me, in conversation format, either by way of in-person meetings with Denise, or over the Internet. The Teachers advised that all I learned is to be shared with the world, for I am merely a representative of the human nation in receiving these teachings and passing them on.

    The Teachers

T he first Teacher to speak to me is a gentle presence, a Spirit Guide, who once walked the earth and taught love. His name is Nathan, and he is actively bringing forth love on this planet.

Within weeks of connecting with Nathan and beginning to receive the teachings, I was given an experience of love so profound that I did not know what to do with myself. As described in the first book in this series, The Miracle of Gratitude, The Miracle of Life, Nathan reached right inside of me, bypassing all of my protective mechanisms to engage my trembling heart. My defenses crumbled, as I experienced love in a way I had never known before. Nathan taught me in a powerful way that shook me to the core on many levels. His teachings turned my worldview and me upside down completely, only to free me to live my life in the most fulfilling way imaginable. It took time, effort, and much letting go, to truly begin this journey and to realize it is ongoing ’til the day I die.

Nathan soon introduced another ascended master to me. This master, whose name is Mother, came forth to teach gratitude, as related to all aspects of love. While Nathan represents more of a global love, Mother comes forth with a mother’s consciousness, not unlike that of a lioness!

Filled with love, She is razor sharp with her words and always cuts to the heart of the matter. She leaves no stone unturned. Mother is the primary teacher of gratitude and is passionate about her teachings. Mother is relentless in her call to each one of us to embrace the fullness of the beauty and richness of ourselves, and to live accordingly.

Encountering Divine Teachers for over two years of learning was unlike anything I have ever experienced. I cannot emphasize enough that the love I met with from The Teachers is unparalleled and universal, and directed to us all. The Teachers explained that

We are very close to you - nay to judge and watch you - to comfort you, to give love, to protect, to surround all around you and hold your heart. That is always only our duty. Religion will say that we are there to judge. We will never judge you. Religion will say we are there to give command for you to be obedient and nay to have your own will. That is folly! We are there to comfort, to protect.

The teachings are coming to the earth in a timely manner. Nathan explained that we’re coming to a time of the
