Introduction

It has taken me such a long time to actually get to the place where I am able to put pen to paper and try to get this book started. In fact, I had this dream almost five years ago and yes five years ago it was a dream and it still is a dream, a dream that has not yet materialised until now!

What gave me the kick start you may ask after all this time is that recently, whilst I was having a looking after me morning, having just completed a work out at the gym, I took a sauna and what is quite natural for me; I tend to say my prayers in the moistness of the sauna, make my requests and bring situations to the altar, hoping for answers of some sort. On this particular morning, my request was for me to be shown my purpose and to be allowed to write my book that I have wanted to write for such a long time, having had the title already planned (penned): Messages to my Sisters (Hey, brothers, you’re welcome to a read). A book of empowerment, dedication, devotion, love for my female species and a deep feeling that my book might make a difference to a sister, when they need an encouraging word, or a spiritual hug.

My reply from God was to at least start and then he would guide me. If I never make a start how then can he be allowed to show me the way? His answer to me was so very clear and made such sense how come I had not heard this message before? I suppose I was just not listening enough or indeed not asking the right question. Whatever the reasons, my much needed kick start was here and I really
