ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
My heart is full of gratitude as I sit here writing the Acknowledgments for this book. There are so many people I want to thank but I’ll keep it short and sweet (like me!). Firstly, this book would still be a dream in my head if it wasn’t for the amazing support of Tesa Colvin, Publishing Consultant Extraordinaire! Thank you Tesa for helping me get the words out, for helping me to find my voice and for reminding me, constantly, that it’s a conversation! I’m still astounded that I wrote this book in 7 weeks and grateful doesn’t even come close to how I feel about you!
Thanks also go to my amazing Tribe of Dream Life Creators, my fabulous Community, clients, customers and Dream Life Project Members. Your continued support, excitement and trust in me inspires me every day. I trust this book will inspire you too and just know that I had some of you in mind in particular when I wrote this book!
My Biz Besties (you know who you are), I am blessed to have you in my circle, I am grateful for you every day and you motivate me to keep pushing forward. Everything Always Works Out For Us right?
And finally my wonderful family. For not really understanding what I do but supporting it anyway!
Love to you all xxx
FOREWORD
Enoughness
is something we all struggle with.
More often than not, we work overtime trying to cover this feeling of inadequacy. Our efforts are mostly dedicated to hiding the cracks in the facades we have established over time, but we never deal with the root.
In my time as a Coach and Consultant I have spent the majority of time helping my clients believe they were worth their dreams and goals. It was often a tug of war between what they hoped and wished for and that nagging feeling deep within them that said that they were not good enough to realize such dreams.
Watching this happen time and time again in my own life and with the people I supported was heartbreaking, frustrating, and of course, it made the path to reaching those goals longer and harder than necessary.
But now, thanks to Author Gemma James, who pulls back the curtain on her own battle with enoughness
, we can do the real (no B.S.) work needed to end the habitual cycles of self-talk that have held us back for far too long.
Get ready to go on a journey that strengthens you, changes the trajectory of your life AND does the same for those looking up to you and waiting to walk in your footsteps.

CHAPTER 1 - FIVE YEAR OLD DECISIONS AND STONE WASH JEANS
I now know the exact moment I decided I wasn’t good enough.
I was standing at the bottom of the stairs. Wearing stonewash jeans and an awful green shell suit jacket (apparently it was fashionable back then). I was five years old. My dad was standing in the doorway of our open front door, suitcase in hand. I was crying, my mum was crying, I think my brother was crying. And I had no idea why.
I don’t remember the exact words he said but let’s just say that he was leaving and wouldn’t be coming back. I didn’t get it. I was confused and sad and assumed, in my five year old mind, that I must have done something wrong. That I’d been bad and that was why my dad didn’t want to stick around. Maybe if I’d listened better, or slept in longer or picked up my Care Bears from the floor.
Whatever I’d done, it hadn’t been enough.
That’s what my five year old brain had chosen to decide. Because I didn’t know any different.
What I wouldn’t know until much, much later was that the decision I made that day at the bottom of the stairs in my horrid green shell suit jacket, impacted so much of my life into my early 30s. So many situations, events, decisions and choices.
Like the time I was bullied in school for three whole years. Because I was short and wore glasses and got good grades (so basically I stood out like a sore thumb). I went from loving school and having really close friends, to dreading it every day, crying in the toilets and feeling so incredibly alone. What did I decide?
That I wasn’t enough.
I wasn’t tall enough or pretty enough or popular enough….or stupid enough?! Yeah, I
