    FOREWORD

Many times in life, we face challenges, hardships, tests, and what seem like attacks against our very selves. These will at times cause us to question God. In those times, we need words that will inspire hope, offer wisdom and clarity, and give us insight, helping us to see what truly may be going on during difficult times.

Often times, we will see people as the problem. Sometimes we are quick to say that it is the Devil or demons that hinder our blessings. But what if the things being encountered were not inspired by something evil but a loving God who has begun good works in us that He intends to complete?

A faithful God, who knows the real us, shows up in times of adversity. What if some challenges, tests, disappointments, and hardships reveal areas in our character that need to be surrendered so we can be our best selves? What if there were genuine good to be gained from joyfully, hopefully persevering through places by the divine help of God that then allow us to refresh others and cause His light to be seen in us?

This resource, God Is Just Trying to Get the Juice Out, is a potent tool to help believers develop a proper perspective on the road to maturity. Evangelist Demetius Robinson, as a son of the ministry, has been inspired to provide a blueprint for those desiring to represent Christ as ambassadors.

It is written to inspire us to walk from a biblical perspective of being molded by the Master and Him getting the best out of the lives He purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ. If you are serious about a mature and fruitful walk in Christ, then this is the book for you to read.

    INTRODUCTION

If you are like me, you have wondered why you have to go through so many changes, tests, and trials. You may have felt like the roller coaster you experienced would never end. You may have wanted to cry out like George Jetson and tell Jane to Stop this crazy thing!

You may have tried to live a crucified life and follow the Lord as well as you know how. Yet there seems to always be something that stretches your faith and causes you to run to the altar and ask God, Why?

One day, I was in the kitchen at home about to drink a glass of orange juice. I heard the Holy Spirit say softly, Do you know how they make 100 percent pure orange juice?

I said quite confidently and proudly, Yes, they squeeze the juice out of the oranges.

He said, You are absolutely correct. I felt very spiritual and good about my exchange with the Holy Spirit. He said, The way they make 100 percent orange juice is the same way the Father works with His children. Son, God is just trying to get the juice out of you.

When I heard this, I was floored, and all the excitement about my answer dissipated. I did not want to look or feel like a freshly squeezed orange. Yet if you are a born-again child of God, you will experience the pressing, shaping, and yes, the squeezing of the Lord. In order for your life to taste good and be nourishing to the world, God has to get the juice out. God has to squeeze the anointing, vitamins, and minerals out of His chosen vessels so that they will taste good and be edifying and nourishing to the ones who are to drink from their lives.

I was given a mandate from the Lord to release this word to those who are in the midst of attacks, tests, trials, and the pressing and squeezing of the Lord. God sent me to tell you that He is only getting the juice out. The reason you experience some tests and trials is directly tied to God getting all the vitamins and minerals from your life. He is extracting the nourishment that He placed within you to sustain someone else. He is squeezing you so that the precious anointing and juices can be harvested to feed and sustain someone else.

I want to give you some hope and insight into the things that you face. God wants you to know that He is simply trying to get the juice out. God has given His Word and sent His beloved Son so that you can come to understand that the things you go through in your life has and will always be about Him and the eternal purpose that He hid in Christ before the world began. So let’s embark on this journey toward a kingdom view of tests and trials. I pray that what you discover will be as liberating and life-changing for you as it was for me. Be blessed!

    CHAPTER 1

    IF ANYONE LACKS WISDOM

Do you ever wonder what God is doing in your life? Are there times when you want to just cry out to God and ask, What are you doing, God? Have you ever cried all night long and asked God, Why? If you are like me, you have had days when these and many other questions have plagued your mind.

There are times when you just want to know God’s method and purpose for the madness you experience. Sometimes you want to know what God has in mind. Well, the apostle James said that in these times of bewilderment, we should go to God and ask Him for His wisdom concerning the situations and circumstances in our lives.

    My brethren count it all joy when you fall into divers temptation;

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire wanting nothing.

If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (James 1:2–5)

The Word of God asks if any of us lack wisdom. The question posed here is intriguing. Throughout most of my Christian experience, I was taught that this Scripture said that if you need wisdom, all you had to do was ask God.

I would run around, not study my schoolwork, go in to take the test, and ask God for the wisdom to pass. After further review and a few failed tests, I came to realize that this Scripture specifically talks about God’s wisdom concerning the trying of our faith. In times of testing, we need to ask God what He is trying to work in or out of us.

God has a plan for your life, and He has some peculiar ways of getting out what is precious to Him. In times of testing, we must ask God for the wisdom needed to go through the trial successfully.

In times when nothing is going right—your spouse does not understand you, the kids seem to have gone mad, your dog does not even want to be bothered with you—you need the wisdom of God.

The Bible declares that if you lack wisdom, you can ask God, who gives wisdom to anyone who asks. God gives wisdom liberally, and He does not even question why. God simply declares that you can come to Him and ask anything at any time. When you come to Him and ask for wisdom, He will give you the wisdom you need to be victorious in every test or trial you face.

God is letting you know that He has the answers to every question, and He is willing and waiting to share them with us if we would just ask. God tells us to ask when we are confused, our minds are perplexed, our hearts are troubled, or we just don’t have a clue as to what to do. He says to just lay all the cards on the table and ask Him for the wisdom needed to make it through this test.

You can ask God anything at any time. When you have done all you can and, in the natural order, things are getting worse instead of better, God can handle the questions. He will give you wisdom that will transform your life.
