Chasendreams

Chasendreams has been lightworker all her life. She grew up in a small Southern Alberta town where she still resides with her significant other. She is the mother of four wonderful children and a Grandmother to a beautiful little girl. She has a love for life and in helping others which lead her to writing this book. She loves her family and friends and does all she can to make their lives happier and full of love. To her there is not greater gift then living a happy, peaceful life. She wants nothing more than to share her knowledge and teaching with as many people as she can reach to help them find peace, love and beauty in all around them; even through all the hardships life may throw at you. Being around her you can always feel the hope and belief radiate off her. No matter what is going on she can make you feel everything is going to be alright. Foreword

I have known Karen (aka Chasendreams) for many years and find her magickal name most appropriate. From the time of our fist meeting I knew Karen was wonderfully unique, kind hearted, forgiving, patient and loving to all around her. She is a true example of friendship and spirituality.

Neither Karen nor I could have known at the time we first met where our lives would lead and the truths we would come to know and treasure. As does Karen, I practice a form of energy work and consider myself a lightworker. We do not practice the same modalities but what we do share in our practices are unconditional love, peace, healing, and care for others, the animals and the earth that sustains us. We respect each other’s gifts and talents and honor the commonalities we share. Each one of us, the reader included, strives for the highest of knowledge and the most powerful way to help those around us find their peace, their path, their joy. Energy and light is an amazing gift.

In The Dragon’s Quartz Karen leads us through a myriad of topics in a very readable and intelligent manner. I call upon Archangels Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael to bless all those that come upon this book. May they follow the light and find a higher spiritual self. Keep all negativity at bay as they learn and let your love follow them. This is my will so mote it be. (a small blessing on the book and for those who read it)

Welcome and thank you for taking an interest in learning about Spirituality/Lightwork and all the benefits that go with it. My name is Karen (Spiritual/Magickal name Chasendreams), I am well into my 40’s and have been spiritual all my life. My journey has led me here, to this book, in order to help others with the basics of spirituality and lightwork. After years of hiding who I am, I stand here open and coming out of my spiritual closet. Many who have known me are going to be shocked to find out my hidden side. They will now know my secret to happiness, joy and balance. I have been asked numerous times how I stay so happy, positive and just don’t let things get to me. Well here it is. I live a spiritual life, a life of love, hope, faith, belief and knowledge of more than self.

The Dragon’s Quartz is something I have been dreaming about doing for a long time. It took many years to come together but slowly and surely it has. The greatest hurdle was having the courage to move forward, I knew I would be coming out of the spiritual closet and that scared me. I then had to come up with a name and nothing felt right. How did I finally get the name? Well I have many dragon guides around me but I have one that is my main guide. He is magnificent so I wanted to honour him and what better way than in the title of my book. I thought about going with The Dragon’s Court but a friend said why not use Quartz (clear Quartz being one of the strongest of crystals). I loved the idea and now it is a reality. I am happy I did not rush the name, I just let the name come to me. They say everything unfolds in the right time. The time is here.

In the near future I am planning to start a school to teach others through online and home taught courses. I have a variety of courses that will offer a unique balance for the students. I will teach about spirituality, lightwork, Shaman, crystals, and Reiki to anyone who wants to learn. I would also like to help those who show an interest in Wicca or Traditional crafting but I believe the first step is always a spiritual one. So before any magick, students should learn basic spirituality. I want to write three books in this series then I will move on to the school. Each book will be more advanced and will eventually teach about magick. Book one, this book, is very basic but where you need to start. Everything has a beginning and this is it.

When the school opens I will have many courses to teach and attune the students too. I will start them from the beginning so the learning process is easier for them.

Most of the courses I have taken were obtained though Mayastar Academy and to this day I continue to study with Anna ¹. I have developed a trust with her and have had wonderful experiences with the attunements passed on. The others are through Linda Colibert at Spirit Light Reiki and Doreen Virtue.

The reason I wanted to write this book is that I have seen so many who want to start a spiritual life but get stuck because they do not know how to raise their vibrations or work with energy. Most want to be able to do readings, see and talk to spirit or get into Wicca and just jump in not knowing how to use energy or get in touch with their higher consciousness. They expect everything to just be there without the knowledge or training and this can leave them exposed to outside dangers from entities or other practitioners. Not everyone will be a medium or witch; some will be healers, some will be better with working on auras, others with chakras and some as ghost hunters. Sometimes you will possess more than one gift so it is important to start at the beginning to learn about yourself and where your gifts are best served. There are many books out there on many different aspects of spirituality but so few that start at the beginning and walk you through the basics to help you open up in a natural way. This will be a simple book to teach the basics of shielding, grounding, auras, chakras, Spirit Guides, Angels, Archangels, Spiritual Gifts, Reiki and many other wonderful opportunities that come with a spiritual life and doing lightwork.

There are many branches of Lightwork and we need all the branches to make change. Lightworkers (spiritualists) are dreamers full of hope, love and faith. We believe, in our hearts, that with enough of us we can change the world. We have a deep-seated desire to make the world a kinder, better place one day and know it starts with us as individuals. We are earth angels, and want nothing more than to help others. If this appeals to you then you have found where your path is leading you. If you have ever found yourself searching, almost wandering aimlessly but could feel a pull to help others then you are more than likely being called into a life of spirituality.
