    Introduction

Focus is undeniably a subject of essence to every man’s life. Without focus, purpose is defeated; without focus, the practicability of fulfilling destiny, achieving the desired maximum impact, and enjoying the best satisfaction in life is not in view. But when focus is in place, purpose is clear and there is nothing to worry about. Rather, what to worry about is focus. Every man on earth has a purpose, but it takes a focused man to ascertain and accomplish his purpose. Some are suffering purpose collapse as a result of focus evasion; hence, the need to build and redirect focus arises.

Building and redirecting your focus in life enables you to 1) feel the pulse of your purpose in life in order to take the right steps to engage its fruition process; 2) see what those who failed, failed to see and do; 3) be prepared for the worst scenario in life, because every man must experience a shaking; 4) move from the old, traditional way to the exceptionally contemporary, best way of life; and 5) be saved from wandering.

In the light of the above, this book, Building and Redirecting Your Focus, is written to help people structure their lives in the right way. Also, it talks about pivotal things that one should do in order to avoid wandering in life, bringing to bear what can cause such wandering.

In addition, this book examines five topics in relation to building and redirecting one’s focus:

    1.  Solving the Problem of the Beam: A Cardinal Tool in Building and Redirecting Focus

    2.  Acquisition of Quality: A Necessity in Building and Redirecting Focus

    3.  Self-Coordination: An Essentiality in Building and Redirecting Focus

    4.  Handling Your Perception: Cruciality in Focus Building for Repositioning

    5.  Understanding Effort and Result: A Key to Building and Redirecting Focus

Moreover, each chapter begins with a chapter focus, which introduces the chapter. There are also chapter bullets at the end of every chapter to bring out thought-provoking statements in every chapter.

Finally, this book will help you straighten out areas of your life and/or the life of someone close to you. Your life largely depends on what you know, and what you know depends on how much you have accumulated. Therefore, I urge you to read this book. For reading is to the brain what oil is to an engine.

    Chapter Focus

This chapter focuses on having a clear mental sight to build one’s focus. The word beam is used here to refer to people, things, and places that inhibit one from making positive decisions for maximum impact.

Solving the Problem of the Beam:

A Cardinal Tool in Building and Redirecting Focus

Life is full of many disappointments. The secret of not becoming one of those disappointments lies in your choice and focus. Your readiness to confront the delimitations imposed on your vision will determine your location and destination.

Have you ever wondered why you make decisions and cannot stand by them? At the beginning of every year, people make resolutions; people draw up plans for a new year. Expectations are usually high as a year begins. Even pessimists tend to reason along the pathway of optimism by seasoning their reasoning.

It is quite amazing how often resolutions are not kept; expectations are not met, and plans and desires are not accomplished. Every plan and resolution is made to meet or address an urgent or future aspect of one’s life. It’s painful when those decisions and expectations fail to materialize as though they were not made at all. As a result, some resolution makers start thinking so many things, and some start apportioning blame of unreasonable proportion to external factors. The problem is not usually with the plan or the expectation. There is a traditional problem with vision, and it is a big issue.

What do you see? How far can you see? How far
