Princess Hope & Snowflake - Clark WM. Colepaugh

    CHAPTER 1

Rainbow Island is an uncharted island where a group of American Indians live; they call themselves the Tribe. Their leader is White Eagle, a young warrior who is brave, courageous, and who will sacrifice everything, including his life, for his people and for his young daughter, named Princess Hope. The young warrior possesses intelligence, insight, and sound judgment, especially when it comes to protecting the people he loves from danger.

White Eagle has the foresight to plan and be prepared in case

the Tribe ever came under attack.

The young princess was celebrating her birthday yesterday. The day started out as an ordinary day, nothing special. The young princess and her gray wolf were chasing butterflies while her majestic eagle was flying right above them, watching them.

Suddenly, the young girl heard a cry for help. It was at this time that the young girl discovered that she had the gift to communicate with animals and the ability to read what others were thinking. The young princess and her friends tried to rescue a mother grizzly bear and her cub from a pirate named Captain Santiago.

The young princess was overpowered by the evil pirate, who picked up the young girl and, without hesitation, threw her off the cliff.

Princess Hope was found and rescued by a bottle-nosed dolphin. For the young princess, it turned out to be a wonderful day. Her life was saved; she did not drown. Hope made new friends and rode on the back of the dolphin. For her majestic eagle, it was a day he would like to forget, for he was almost attacked and eaten by a white shark.

    CHAPTER 2

Today, White Eagle and the Tribe are paying their final respects to Snowflake’s mother, who has sacrificed her life so that her cub, with blue eyes, can live.

After the ceremony, the young warrior tells his daughter, Beautiful girl, let’s go home. We need to finish celebrating your special day. You have yet to receive your surprise present.

I knew it. I knew it. What is it, Daddy? Tell me, please. I love surprise presents!

You won’t be surprised and flabbergasted if I tell you now. You just have to wait till we get to camp. Besides, I want to see those big brown eyes when you see it.

Just as the young warrior walks away from his daughter, a reflection catches the leader of the Tribe’s eyes. It is a signal from Firebird, leader of the Sky Hawks. White Eagle knows there are intruders on the island. The young warrior slowly walks toward where his weapons are.

The young princess, with tears in her eyes, says, Daddy. White Eagle spins around and says, Yes, pretty girl? Hope runs and jumps into his arms and says, Have I told you lately that I love you, that I am so lucky to have such an amazing daddy? The young warrior kisses his daughter and tells her, We have a problem. Please, do what I ask! Just as White Eagle puts his daughter down to tell her more, they hear a loud noise; it sounds like thunder.

The Tribe looks up and tries to locate the sound. They realize that it is a bullet coming from a pirate’s gun. They discover that they are surrounded by pirates. Princess Hope sees Captain Santiago being held up by two of his men. Santiago yells at the young girl, You are going to pay with your life for making me a cripple, you stupit little Indian girl.

The young princess tells her daddy, That’s Captain Santiago, the hateful pirate I told you about.

The brave warrior looks down and tells his daughter, I need you to hide. Let me take care of this. Please, do as I ask.

But, Daddy, we are family. My friends and I can help. Together, we can.

Enough, Hope. I have to protect the Tribe. I can only do it if I do not have to worry about you, so you need to hide. I need to know you are safe, out of harm’s way. I want you to take Snowflake with you. That pirate means to hurt him as well.

The brave warrior calmly walks toward his spear and his shield.

The warrior puts a white cloth at the end of the spear and whistles, and his horse, Thunder, goes running toward him.

White Eagle runs toward his beautiful horse and effortlessly mounts him. The young warrior rides toward Captain Santiago. Santiago sees the white flag, laughs, and says, "Cowards
