About this ebook

My name is Georgia known as "Sista" My hometown is Augusta, Georgia; a private person is how I choose to be. I have a family of three plus me. My writings are a blessing from God who I have dedicated my life to serve; I pray you are given the vision to see some of my experiences through words. My poetic poems are my way of communicating some of the obstacles I have faced, instead of a long writing about me, I prefer hearing about your obstacles while journeying this race. My journey has not been easy, but I know I'm not alone; God before me and encouraging friends, my journey has been strong. Mr. Tyrone Russell, the only best male friend of mines, felt something in reading my poems; supported and invested his time. Ms. Helen Alexander is like a sister to me; she also, felt these were poems that the world should see. God Bless!

    SILENT TEARS

Somebody’s child is lost in this world and crying silent tears.

Birth to a victim of the streets; never embraced or hearing cheers

Passed from home to home; tears unseen throughout the years

Looking for love; don’t know how to love; love replaced by the rage inside

Lonely and all alone and nobody wants you in their home; so you sleep outside.

    People afraid of the rage you have trapped inside;

Helping hand you look for and the only hand you see, waves goodbye.

I see your silent tears when you talk; I hear your silent cry

Labeled before you were born; victim of society and no family to show you love

Watching and hoping that your family will open their doors and greet you with a hug

The streets were waiting on you to give up, and offered you drugs.

Abandoned by a cold world and your only friends were of the streets, they called you a thug.

As you grew, your rage grew too; family doesn’t know what to do with you.

I see your silent tears when you talk; rejected, I see your silent cry

In and out of trouble just to get someone’s attention; nobody cares that you are living in a nightmare

Somebody been watching you; offered a hand to give you a chance because they care about your welfare.

A chance that’s all you wanted; a feeling that somebody cares

Someone heard your silent tears ; they heard your silent cry

    THE WRITINGS

There was a gathering of friends sitting down to eat.

The owner said let me show you something unique.

He pulled out a binder with a few writings inside.

He asked his friends to read these and let their heart be their guide.

His friends were two couples well established in the business world.

They all agreed to tell if the writings were a dub or a pearl.

One is a highly respected person with an architectural mind.

A person with distinctive details for design

Shown some writings to see if they would shine

The Architecture stated, It’s a reflection of my work.

It reminded him of the struggle, beauty, and hurt.

The writer received a gift that shouldn’t go to waste

Her gift passed to another due
