About this ebook

She taught Spanish and had the opportunity teach children. Inspired by the stories she had read to them, she decided to make her own stories too, based on the lessons she learned and the virtues she has always admired: courage, hope, and love.

She believes that when one puts his trust in God and himself, he can do everything. Shortly after marriage and meeting her husbands children, Abigail and Patrick, she began writing her first story - a story that will warm your heart and remind you of the only things that truly matter - love, hope, and courage.

Looking at the clock on the wall:

Goodness! It’s time to get up and go to school. I put on my shirt, my favorite pants, brushed my teeth, wet my bangs, and as usual, slid down the banister. In the distance, I heard Mom’s voice:

Arthur, how many times do I have to tell you? You might fall!

I sat at the table for two minutes, hurriedly gobbled down my breakfast, and rushed outside to catch the school bus. Walking a few blocks, I met my neighborhood friends, Patrick and Abigail, who was visiting her grandmother’s house for a while.

Hello! How are you? I greeted them.

"I’m doing pretty good, and you? Abigail answered.

Same here! added Patrick with a smile.

I didn’t hear any birds singing today, like they usually do. I told them.

Well, look how the sky is. Patrick answered.

Oh yes! It’s a little different. Abigail confirmed after she looked up.

And as if we were missing something, we just stood there contemplating when the school bus finally arrived. The three of us sat near the window and looked at the horizon. We arrived in school, still in deep in thought. Before we entered, we saw our first grade teacher who seemed worried.

Upon reaching our classroom, we realized that there was no one in it. We looked at each other and turned to the clock on the wall.

    How strange! I said, surprised.

We waited for a few minutes and decided to go the playground to entertain ourselves for a while. While there, we became hungry and decided to take our lunch.

    Yummy!
