My favorite subjects at school were history, literature and gym. I have always loved to write and I would prefer to read a book than watch the movie. I have studied photography I am now going to college to learn computers and I am hoping to one day be able to take off and see the world. I would love to see the mountains of Colorado and the beautiful sites in Greece and England then maybe have fun touring all our favorite theme parks.

Previously in Outlined Teresa’s Story

Three strangers took Teresa from her home. They took her to an unknown location where a man named Morgan told her she had magical abilities. He showed her key moments in her life when magic interfered. In addition, she needed to relive those moments in order to get her powers.

She stepped back in time and saw herself receive her magical powers as a baby.

She saw her younger self-taken to see a baby dragon’s birth. She saw her and her new friend Morgan run up as the baby hatched; they became friends with the parents then helped care for the baby dragon. She was told for the time in between each visit that they could not allow her to remember any magical occurrence.

She returns to the world of magic soon after this experience. She viewed a solar eclipse at her own school. Then getting nostalgic, she caused a ripple in time. She went on to see a meteor shower with a planetary and star alignment leading up to the creation of a planet. Her new friend impressed her by conjuring a flower for her.

Next, they took her from her high school history class to go to the magical world and because she does not remember her magical visits, she gets scared and tries to escape from what she thinks is a kidnapping. With Her memories returned, she started her lessons to learn magic. She loses her old love, finds a new love, finds a best friend, and creates a close family relationship with the couple that took her in. She struggles to survive whatever her enemies throw at her.

Not too long after this, she returns to the magical side to receive her hearing to see if she is able to remain in the magical world. In addition, she meets someone new who tries to kill her. She spends the holidays with her new family; she receives a marriage proposal, and then makes friends with her once enemy. Then just before being kicked out of the magical world, she learns she has an enemy worse than the last.

Monday, December 30, 1985

Thomas, Morgan, Sam, Ben, and Hunter all sat at the kitchen table, each with a file from the box. They had been reading the files for the last four hours trying to find some clue as to who could have sent the council their proof. A television had been set up in the corner of the kitchen near the refrigerator so everyone in the room could view the video together. After viewing the video four times, they could not see anything to give away the identity of the creator. With the intimacy of some of the content, they could not see how an outsider could have gotten it.

Thomas went to watch the video the council had given them again he turned to Ben and asked, Hey Ben where’s the video of our deception?

Ben looked up from his papers. I stuck it on top of the player when I was done.

Thomas held up two discs and asked, There are two of them, which one is the right one?

Ben sighed, set his elbow on the table and put his closed fist at the side of his chin then answered, I don’t know. Thomas opened the player and inserted a disc, You’ll have to stick them both in and see which one it is, he explained as Thomas was pushing the button to play the first video.

Teresa came on the television saying, No, no, no, Thomas that’s not the right one.

Then they heard Thomas ask, What this one?

They all turned to watch the screen. Teresa was standing with her hand on her hip laughing, telling Thomas No as she stepped up to the camera. The only view was her chest as she helped Thomas with something behind the camera.

Abigail came out to the kitchen at the sound of Teresa’s voice. She began looking around trying to find where it was coming from and then she saw the television. She looked at Thomas and asked, What’s this?

As Thomas went to remove the disc, Abigail set her hand on his arm. No. Don’t. Let’s watch it.

Thomas stepped back so everyone could see the screen as Ben asked him, What are you two doing?

Thomas stopped the video so he could explain. We were training down by the pond when she was here the first time. I recorded our sessions so we could study them and try to help her. It’s not going to help us get her back.

Abigail looked at Thomas with a tear in her eye as she said, I don’t want to watch it to try to help us.

Thomas pushed play. Teresa was standing in front of the camera saying, It’s on silly. Come on out here in front of the camera or your adoring fans won’t be able to see your handsome face. She pulled him in front of the camera. Besides, I think we’ve seen enough of my chest.

Thomas on the video was laughing as he said, Well to tell you the truth sweetheart, and I’m sure I could find several guys who would agree that the preferred scene for our viewing pleasure would be your chest, not my face.

In the kitchen, Hunter and Morgan were raising their hands. Sam shook his head at them as he set a chair behind Abigail. Teresa pulled Thomas to her saying, Oh! You could only name a few huh? Are you going to actually take a poll?

He told her, I might, or I could keep this treasure all to myself. Then he grabbed her around the waist with one hand and used the other to unbutton the top button of her shirt.

She pushed away, So that’s what you want? She turned on the radio they had brought down then she started to dance in front of Thomas. He took her hand and started dancing with her, their dance had a light sexual intent to it. She twirled away from him and as she danced back, she started unbuttoning her shirt in a seductive way.

When she pulled the shirt open Thomas on the video, Morgan and Hunter all said, Aww man!

Thomas, Sam, Ben, and Abigail laughed. Thomas stopped the movie; as Ben started to ask them, Did you forget she always wears two shirts like that?

Morgan turned. I think I speak for all of us, even the Thomas on the video when I say I was hoping that the one time she gets brave enough to do that, he said pointing to the screen, it’s the one time she even felt she didn’t need her bra that day.

They all laughed louder as Thomas started the video again. Teresa was dancing around Thomas wrapping the shirt around him like a rope and pulling him into her.

Hunter kicked the back of Thomas’ chair You two made your own adult film.

Thomas turned and told him, Nothing happened.

Morgan leaned in toward Hunter and said, On camera. They both smiled as Thomas glared at them.

On the video, Teresa was twirling around Thomas draping her shirt over his shoulder as she danced away from him off screen. She came back on screen doing a cartwheel and then a handstand. As she walked back out of the camera shot, they heard her say something but they could not make out what she had said. On the screen, Thomas took a step back.

Thomas in the kitchen explained, She didn’t trust herself not to bust me in the face with her feet, so she told me to back up.

She ran back into view and did a front flip twice then fell on her butt as she landed. Thomas helped her up as she was explaining, Now, I want you to help me get that down without the landing on my butt part. I also want to be able to do a back flip.

Thomas told her I’ll get the camera ready and you do your flip again okay.

She nodded, Alright let me know when you’re ready.

Thomas got the camera and told her to do her flip. Teresa got into position, ran, and did her flip again including landing on her butt. He got her completely in the picture and followed her moves through the whole flip getting it on tape. Thomas moved the camera down closer to where they were working and adjusted the frame so everything they were doing would be on the video. Then he came around to the front of the camera with Teresa.

Let’s start with the back flips first, I’ll watch the disc and see what you’re doing wrong so you stop landing on your butt. He said then he went to her side and put his hands on her hips.

She raised her arms and started to lean back. When his hands moved along her side, she grabbed her sides and laughed. Thomas lowered her to the ground and when she stopped laughing, he helped her up.

She stepped up to him saying, I’m sorry, let’s try that again. They tried doing the flip again with the same results.

Abigail laughed as she put her hand on Thomas’ arm and leaned her head on his shoulder.

Teresa stood up saying, Okay, okay, okay, this time for sure, but Thomas you need to grab me firmly when you touch, she demonstrated by grabbing his arms not that light almost touching thing that tickles okay.

Thomas nodded, Okay come on let’s do this, this time. She tried it again and when she giggled, he set her down and told her, I’m going to give up.

She reached up from the ground and rubbed his leg while she said, Don’t be mad, I don’t mean anything by it. I’m sorry. As he helped her up, she looked at him and said, Maybe we should wait for Morgan to come home to help.

Frowning, Thomas looked at her and asked, Why do we need Morgan?

Teresa started, You know with all the touching.

Morgan turned to Hunter, Man where did I go that day? Darn it.

Hunter laughed, Tough luck huh kid.

Thomas on the TV said, Thanks a lot as he walked to the bench and sat down.

Teresa approached him, Don’t be mad, that just sounded bad and I said it all wrong. I meant for him to be a chaperone, you make me nervous and when we are alone together my mind wanders in that direction. Please don’t be angry with me. She sat down on the bench and scooted as close to him as she could get. She leaned into him and whispered in his ear.

Thomas jumped and pulled away from Teresa while rubbing his finger in that ear.

Everyone was laughing Morgan asked, What did she say?

Thomas answered, She said she knew what could put the smile back on my face, and then she stuck her tongue in my ear.

Abigail pushed him and pointed to the screen It worked didn’t it?

On the screen, Thomas grabbed Teresa and wrestled her to the ground, tickling her until she asked him to stop. She reached up touching his face as she asked, Are you still going to help me?

Looking at her, he nodded his head saying; Yeah then he leaned down and kissed her. The camera caught more than the couple intended.

Hunter kicked the back of Thomas’ chair and asked, Did you ever teach her the trick or is it just wow?

Thomas looked at him. This was our first training disc. We did not mean for anyone to see it. It was in the player, this is the player from my room. I figured if Abigail can get through our love scene, then she would like the next part. And no, we did not finish that day. But yes now she can do the front and back flip without landing on her butt.

Hunter turned to Morgan You know I like this movie better than I do the other where she clobbers him.

Morgan agreed I know what you’re talking about this is so much better. He leaned forward in his chair then commented, Thomas you need to get out of the way.

Thomas looked at him with a frown and asked, What are you talking about?

Morgan waved his hand at Thomas Not you, the Thomas on the TV. You’re covering some of the best features. Thomas rolled his eyes and shook his head as he turned back toward the video.

On the video, Teresa stopped the love scene before it went too far. She stood and walked up to the camera saying, I’m sorry. as she disappeared behind it.

Still kneeling on the ground, Thomas rubbed his face with his hands and then put his hands on his legs, and said, No, it’s my fault. Then the screen went black.

When the video started, again Teresa was looking at the camera talking to Thomas. He said, Tell me what you’re thinking about.

She shrugged. I don’t know a little of everything.

Thomas asked, Would you like to elaborate a little please.

She smiled, I have been thinking of my family, school and my friends back home. I have also been thinking of all of you being my family here. I have made some real good friends, then the academy.

Thomas asked, We’ve talked about your non-magic life before, but what are your thoughts about us here?

Teresa pulled the hair away from her face before she answered. I’m thinking about how much fun I’m having and the fact that I don’t want it to stop. I love my family at home but I feel like a part of the bigger picture here. I love it, I feel like I belong here and I am not lonely. You know what I mean?

Thomas answered quietly, Yeah I think I do. He spoke up, So Teresa, tell me what are your thoughts about Sam?

Teresa got a big smile on her face as she started thinking about his question. Sam is so sweet. I also like the fact he is not afraid to tell me things. He’ll tell me what he’s thinking about even if some guys think it’s a conversation meant for guys only. Teresa said using her fingers as quote marks for guys. He lets me know when I’m being an idiot with no fear of consequences. He says if I must smack him for the remarks then I must. Others will try to get him to tell me the bad things because all they have seen me do to him is give him a hug or kiss, sometimes both. I have heard people say he’s crazy or dumb, but he’s not. He is sweet, loving, and smart. I’m glad we’ve got him on our side.

Thomas cut her off, Can I ask you a question? You said you heard people pick on Sam. Was that the guy and girl you smacked around the other day?

Teresa looked a little embarrassed Well no one talks about him like that. He’s my friend and he’s special to me.

Thomas chuckled, Hey don’t freak about it. If you hadn’t done it, I would have. I heard what they said and you are right, it was wrong. Okay, tell me what you think of Morgan?

She touched his legs, You remember this is your question. I’ll tell you the truth but you can’t get angry, alright?

Thomas responded, I promise I won’t get angry, you can answer the question.

She started again. How do I feel about Morgan? He’s handsome, very brave, a real hero type and he doesn’t abandon his comrades. She looked at Thomas and put her hands up, Still being honest answering your question. I sometimes wonder if Morgan had not been seeing Katie when I came here, what it would be like; would him and I be dating. I mean, when we saw the planet created and he made me that flower, I fell in love with him. It felt like he ripped my heart out when I saw him with Katie. I even had second thoughts about being here the way all of you looked at me with pity. I was not sure if I could deal with that. It was punishment not knowing if I would see him at school, then he moved in here, I could not believe this was happening. Then I thought give it time, see what happens, and see if I can deal with the hand, dealt to me. Then this tall, handsome, sweet, loving, and talented man stepped in and filled that hole. Teresa named off as she crawled up to Thomas.

You could hear the delight in Thomas’ voice as he said, I wonder who you could be talking about?

I don’t know I never did get his name, she said as she kissed him and sat back down.

You could hear the amusement in Thomas’ voice as he asked, How do you feel about your enemies?

Teresa sighed as she tilted her head to one side You mean James.

Thomas zoomed in on Teresa Of course who else would I be talking about? Look what he’s done so far.

Teresa shook her head No I have had worse but I’ll admit he scared me several times. I figured he’s never had the chance to be good. Look, he makes one heck of a bad guy can you imagine if given a chance to be good how awesome he could be. I think all we have to do is get him away from the council, it’s probably their bidding he’s doing anyway and they are not going to admit it. Let everyone hate James he’s the bad guy not them.

Thomas sounded surprised So you can see the good in him? Where do you see this good he has in him?

Teresa pushed his foot with hers In his eyes. Teresa giggled and smacked Thomas’ leg. Stop looking at me like that. He has eyes that could make a girl melt. You can’t have eyes like that and have a dark soul.

Thomas said Okay. Then he asked her What about Ben and Abigail?

Teresa got a dreamy look on her face as she answered Oh they’re the easiest to answer I don’t even have to think about it. When they look at me, I can see the love in their eyes, and when I talk to them, I feel like they say shut up world she is talking, as if everything I have to say is worth hearing. They are both smart and I like smarts if you couldn’t tell. I feel as close to them as I do my own parents sometimes even closer. There have been a couple incidents I would have been too embarrassed to ask my own parents, a too much information moment for my parents, but I felt comfortable asking Ben or Abigail. I have almost called them Mom or Dad but I caught myself before I did.

Thomas cut her off. Why don’t you? They wouldn’t mind.

Teresa sighed, I’m probably complicating a simple situation, but there is a lot to consider here. One I still have my parents; they were not lost to me, they did not abandon me. Then they had their daughter and lost her. Would they feel I was trying to take her place? An impossible feat that I would never try, no one not even another biological child can replace a lost child. I am just happy they found room in their hearts for me. I would not want them to think my intentions were to replace their daughter. I’m afraid to lose them or make them hate me so we keep it this way.

Thomas broke in again But both of them have called you their daughter.

Teresa smiled. I know. It makes me happy and I feel loved when they do. I would love to be able to say, ‘Hey dad, can we borrow the car? What’s for dinner mom? Or to say I love you mom I love you dad’ because I do love them like a parent, but I’m not going to take it upon myself to say it, they will tell me when their ready to hear this daughter say it.

Thomas asked, So your overall feeling for us is?

Teresa pulled her hair to one side to keep it out of her face, looked right into the camera, smiled, and said, I love you. She sat there smiling at the camera for a few seconds before she started to crawl up Thomas’ legs. You obviously know how I feel about you, because you never asked for those feelings.

Thomas started joking with her Well there is only one way you could possibly feel about me I am the . . .

The best thing that ever happened to me in my whole life Teresa said cutting him off.

Thomas replied, That will work. Then the camera went black.

Abigail asked Thomas That’s where she got her shot for the memory players?

Thomas answered, Yes, what you guys felt was her feelings for you from that.

Abigail looked at Thomas. Could I watch that again and any others you may have? I’ll fast forward through the love scene.

Yeah give me a minute. Thomas took the disc and ran upstairs to his room.

While he was gone, Ben asked Abigail How are you doing sweetheart? Abigail just looked at him saying nothing. Ben sighed. I know it’s hard . . .

She cut him off Ben I’m sorry, but I feel like I’m losing another child. Are we going to be able to get her back? Will Miller let us bring her back? I hate this whole situation and I know it’s no fault of anyone here that we lost her, but I’m having trouble just dealing with my emotions and I know I’m no help in this condition.

Ben held her as he said Honey no one is asking you to do anything you can’t handle. We want to help you cope and get through this. Do you want something to eat?

Abigail looked at him and answered No, I want to see Teresa walk through that door. I want to see her smack Morgan for being smart mouthed. I want to see that look in her eyes when Thomas pulls her to him and kisses her. I want to hear her laugh at your jokes. But mostly I want her to run up to me and give me a hug and tell me she loves me. Abigail stopped as she put her hand over her mouth stifling a sob.

Ben told her If I could accomplish that I would do it right now but we have to play the hand we’ve been dealt. I love Teresa and I want her back also, but I am not going to let you go off and ignore your health. Will you please eat something?

Thomas came back into the kitchen as Abigail told Ben I don’t think I could eat even if I tried I just want to be by myself okay.

Thomas handed her a small zippered disc case. These are all of our training sessions, not just the flips; it’s everything we’ve done. He held up a single disc, This is a copy I burned of the one we just watched minus the love scenes.

She hugged him and as she pressed her face against his shirt she said, You smell like her.

Thomas held her, I know. When Abigail didn’t move away from him, he asked, Are you okay Abbey? She nodded but he heard her sob. He looked around as if he could find a miracle in the room then looking at his ring he pulled it off his finger and immediately felt a heavy feeling almost like grief hit him as he did. He pulled slightly away from Abigail and offered her the ring. Why don’t you wear this for a while, just until you can handle things Okay? His words caught in his throat as he stopped himself from crying. And you make sure you can handle things because it’s real depressing without it.

Abigail looked surprised, I can’t this was her love ring to you.

Thomas put it on her despite her protests. I know, and you can feel her love when you wear it. I don’t think she’ll mind if I share it with you, especially since I think you need it more than I do right now.

Abigail seemed to glow slightly after Thomas put the ring on her. She took a deep breath, smiled as she felt the love from the ring, and hugged Thomas. Thank you so much Thomas then she left the room.

After Abigail, left Ben approached Thomas, Thanks for doing that for her. Could you give her some time to soak up some of that love and watch the video again then see if she’ll eat something for you?

Thomas put his hand on Ben’s shoulder I’d be glad to do that. Don’t worry Ben you’re not alone, this time you have help. We are all going to work together to pull through. We’ll help Abigail through this and we will get Teresa back.

Ben hugged Thomas and patted his back as he chuckled, She’s right you do smell like her.

Thomas held his arms out. So do you want to smell me for a while or what?

Ben shook his head grinning, I’ll take a rain check on that offer.

Thomas laughed as he loaded the right disc, and they all grabbed what they had been working on before the video break.

Thomas pushed play. The first scene was Ben talking to fourth grade Teresa, telling her You know no one wants you here, nobody even likes you. You should come with me so I can show you some special things; you’ll have so much fun.

The second scene showed when Thomas had picked her up from school and knocked her teacher over before disappearing with her. When they got to the other side Thomas had a hold of Teresa and was telling her, I brought you here because Ben said you would like it here. He knows how sad you are at home. I know just how you feel being somewhere where no one loves you. But you know we love you here right and that’s all that matters.

Then it showed when Ben brought Teresa home for her training. Whoever made the video had caught Teresa’s whole chase scene, then when they gave her back her memories, they changed the words to a controlling spell.

Hunter had stopped looking through the files and had started to view the video. He let Thomas know he thought the best part was when Teresa had barreled through him. After that scene had finished, Hunter turned to Ben. Why didn’t you give her memories back in the school? You said she was cooperative then, right?

Ben came over to the TV corner to join them as he answered. Every time I went to pull the pouch out some one walked by or came out of a room. I thought it was too dangerous inside the school and I didn’t want to be seen doing magic.

Then the next scene was when Teresa asked Ben to take her home and not to come get her again after she heard Bens comment to Morgan and thought they didn’t want her there. Whoever made the video changed Ben’s words to I think the spell is wearing off. Then the scene showed her running upstairs and Abigail going after her. Originally, they talked and Abigail showed Teresa her memories of them fighting to bring her here. What they saw was Abigail casting a spell on her to make her forget about going home.

Then it showed the scene when Thomas picked her up from school for the holidays. The video showed Teresa running and instead of it being a loving moment when she jumped into his arms and gave him a kiss. It appeared she was trying to run around Thomas, he caught her and she started fighting him then Morgan came up to help him, they were trying to carry her out saying We are the only ones that love you, you know that right? then Ben came in casting a control spell on her.

The last scene was the day after she got the scrambler out and she asked to go home after she visited the school. It showed her informing Hunter she was leaving the magical world. Then he asked her Where are you going to go, home? Why would you want to go there? You know they don’t love you, right? They have not missed you. You have been here four times. Each time was longer than the last. Did they set off any alarms? No! They are not worried about you. They were happy when you disappeared. Let’s face it; you are so totally the middle child, not only a middle child but a girl to boot, who needs you not your family that’s for sure. You need to stay here where we love you and want you. We are the only ones that care about you, you know that right?

Morgan spoke up You know they should have been able to tell that was a fake. He has never sounded that cheesy.

Hunter stood up I am glad I’m not the only one who noticed that thank you very much. What I don’t understand is how did they get the intimate talks between us?

Hunter grabbed a soda. Sam said The openers on the fridge then never mind, as Hunter twisted the cap off with his hand.

Hunter took a drink as he watched Sam play with the memory player that Teresa had given him. Hunter perked up swallowed then exclaimed, I think I got it! Everyone looked at him, he held up his hand, Hold it, Abigail can you come in here please?

Ben stepped up to him Come on what’s your idea Hunter?

Hunter told him Hold on, we agreed everyone hears and has a say in everything concerning Teresa. It will be better to only have to explain once.

Abigail came into the kitchen What is it? she asked looking at Hunter.

Hunter looked at her I know how they made this stuff up he said pointing to the TV but not looking away from Abigail. She sighed as he went to the table and picked up one of the memory players. She was worried about not getting her stay; she tried to fill our lives with her through these things. Whoever it was got their stuff from that video place she went to. She was trying to leave part of herself with us and unknowingly handed that S.O.B. the evidence he needed to get her out.

Abigail looked at him and said, That’s it? I thought you were going to include some way of bringing her back to us.

Hunter looked at her No we were all agreeable that we all know what’s going on at all times. And I thought you were a part of this group.

She glared at him How dare you. Ben tried to break in between the two.

Before Ben got the chance to say anything, Hunter held up his hand. No Ben I have to say this. He stepped up to Abigail, frowned, and narrowed his eyes at her as he set his drink on the table before continuing. If you don’t want any updates, that’s fine go back to your room sulk and feel sorry for yourself. Forget about what Teresa might be going through, forget the fact we are the only ones that are going to help, and forget that she is counting on us to help her. So you go ahead and do nothing to help Teresa, we’ll give you your pity party later.

Abigail hit Hunter and he fell backwards landing on the floor in front of the sink. He sat up holding his jaw and looked at her with a grin on his face. Ben and Thomas were right by Abigail’s side and Morgan was helping Hunter up. Hunter raised his eyebrows and asked, So how do you feel now?

Abigail was breathing hard, she looked at him, and then to everyone else in the room before saying You know I do feel better.

Okay the proof we need is at that memory place and we are going to go there, he said as he patted Morgan’s shoulder. After Sam quietly cleared his throat, he grabbed Sam and pulled him next to him and Morgan to show this one how to interrogate someone if that’s okay. Abigail looked at him quizzically. Hunter sighed then explained, Sometimes you just have to punch something or someone. I assumed you had been punching pillows so it had to be someone. And since you love all these fellas too much to hit them I volunteered myself for the job.

Morgan pushed him How come you didn’t do that for me?

Hunter put his coat on as he told Morgan I only let women hit me, then rubbing his jaw where Abigail had hit him he said, I just wish your ladies didn’t hit like trucks. They were laughing as they left the house.
