About this ebook

This book came about when my only daughter passed away in the early
morning of Easter Sunday 2013. She had cancer. She was doing very well.
The day before she passed, on Saturday, she and her loving husband had
gone to do some shopping. They ate dinner, watched a movie, and went
to bed around 10:00 p.m. or so. Her husband found her about 4:00 a.m.,
hanging over the bathtub. She was gone. That was the darkest day of my
life. She was only forty-four years old and a new grandmother. She loved
her babies and her husband. She is dearly missed.

    A Daughter

A daughter is so wonderful to have.

You can play dress-up with her and do her hair.

Tell her about boys and other things that

    Moms tell their daughters.

A daughter can be your best friend or not.

She can break your heart, make you cry, or

    Make you smile.

A daughter can hate you or love you.

It all depends on how you raise her.

Show her all the right ways that you know

To make her a better person.

    After you’ve done your part,

The rest is up to her.

She will either make you or break you.

She will make you both happy and sad.

She will make you smile and cry.

But remember, she’s your little girl.

No matter how young she is

    Or how old she gets,

    Whatever road she chooses,

    Always be there for her.

At the beginning of the road

And at the end of the road.

So if she strays a little
