About this ebook
becoming a Christian, about 12 years ago, I ask God for a gift I could
give back to Him in praise. He gave me poetry. I began to write these
poems in a notebook. God told me to share these poems, stories, and
things He put in my heart. Then He told me to put them in a book and
sell them. This is my second book and I hope people are blessed by the
poems. I have traveled a little to share my poems to church groups and
our local art center.

I have been married for 44 years. My husband and I have a daughter and a son. Our daughter has 4 daughters and our son has 1 daughter. I began to write poetry about 9 years ago and after sharing some of them, I was encouraged to put them in a book. This is my first book but I don’t think is my last because I feel God is still working on me and thru me. Sometimes I got a poem from event or something someone says, some of them just come to me. I hope you enjoy poems and I hope they bless you. My poems come to me by Divine importation. “I Don’t Know About You But I Know About Me” came to me at lunch break during a Christian conference. “The Winds of God” came after I came home from a conference. Some of them are to people for their funeral. “It’s OK” was to my Aunt Nellie and “Carol” was to my best friend. “The Empty House” came after another relative passed away suddenly. “In The Night” tells how God comes to me and it is awesome when this happens.

I have decided to dedicate this book to all the people who have blessed and encouraged me. This includes all my family, friends, and my church family. Also my God, and Lord because
He tells me what to write.
A New Year
Here we are in a new year
Fighting new battles
And more fear
The wind of God moves across
The earth
Bending what will bend
Braking what won’t
In death, bring new birth.
So much sin here where we are
So many warnings
God has sent
We keep on struggling
Blessings and strength are spent.
We are set in our ways
And keep on living our days.
So very soon this will all end
Praise God while we can
On our knees we will bow and bend
And Jesus will proclaim
THE END!

29714.jpgA Poem To Satan
Satan, you old Devil
Never works on the level
Tried to wage war on me
But you could not see
Jesus won that war for me
It’s over, through, done
All my battles are already won!
You tried to steal my joy
Just get out my way ’ol boy
Truth is you make me sick
Jesus beat you with two sticks
So just get out of my way
I am here to stay!

29717.jpgA Soldier Came Home
A young man I never met came home from the war today
I pray for his family; what pain they must feel
This has touched many hearts and the war became more real
Still we stand a little taller as we turn and walk away
Because he fought for freedom and came home today
His soul is in God’s hands his memory lives with us
May we, when we say the Pledge keep IN GOD WE TRUST
The sky is so very blue and for awhile we will be too
Most will soon forget but the parents hearts will be broken
For he will be their son forever and is their hearts yet
Yes a soldier came home today in a flag draped box
He is a hometown hero so young in
