God has truly, poetically enhanced the actual pages of my mind. During the course of writing this book; I asked God as in II Timothy 1:6 to stir up the gift that was inside of me. Sandra Jackson

Sandra Jackson is an accomplished writer. Writing since the age of 13; she has had book signings at numerous churches, bookstores (including Barnes & Noble), and womens conferences. She is also involved in her community, reading her poetry at hospitals and retirement homes. In December of 2007, she qualified for the semi-finals at the Tampa, Florida Poetry Slam. This is Sandras third published book. Her previous books were titled, From the Heart, and From the Heart: Lesson From A Sparrow. Sandras work has also been published in several Anthologies through the Library of Congress.

Pages of My Mind 

In the pages of my mind

Christ and I are intertwined

His will becoming the very essence of my desire

And within my soul He burns so bright! – The man is just like fire!

There’s no mountain unmovable, No pain unsootheable

I ponder on His extension of great

And the fact that His vastness is not a sham

Virtually stimulates me to just call Him, I Am

No one inspires more, or teaches more

Learning becomes life and life becomes a door

A door without a room or a lock

Consuming wisdom through the word of life

Life who is Christ, Christ who is God

Forever will He inhabit my mind, my heart and my soul

Yes in the pages of my mind

Christ and I are intertwined

From the beginning

With no end

His love towards me

Is that He calls me friend

Friend, huh, something that I should not be called

Yet somehow a fusion of His love and blood

Tore down that barrier and that sinful wall

The wall standing between Him and I

Which kept me from Him and condemned me to die

From death to life

From life to everlasting

To be the author of my pages

Is all the Master’s asking

Now some may analyze this love affair

And say, you know that’s just not fair

There should be a law against such behavior

But like T. D. Jakes said, It’s not fair it’s favor

Yet in still please remember this fact

That your own book of pages can He still impact

Just open up your book or heart so to speak

And let Him begin to write, create and teach

Yes, within the pages of my mind

Christ and I are intertwined

Yes within the pages of my mind

I am Thine Oh Lord

And Thou art mine.

Christ Has Risen! 

I can’t be held down by the cares that unfold

For Christ has risen and overcome the world!

Because He has risen I don’t have to stay buried

Under my burdens which has me worried

What a joyous and triumphant revelation!

I can live a resurrected life

Through this grace dispensation!

Resurrected life means

I’m cast down but not destroyed,

Always remembering the suffering of the Lord

So come sickness, famine, tribulation or rain

Christ has promised to raise me up again!

Oh, what a blessing for me to know

Because Christ has risen I can also do so,

Not only on that day of judgment and resurrection

But even in this life as I strive for perfection

No, I can’t be held down by the cares that unfold

For Christ has risen and overcome the world!

My Zeal 

Don’t mistake my zeal for good works

As a sign that I am proud,

I know that a haughty spirit

Will bring a brother or sister down

Just as the one leper returned

To give thanks for what Jesus had done,

With that same zeal I serve the Lord
