How I Am Blessed
______________________
I am blessed because of God’s grace and mercy.
This morning when he awoke me, I could clearly see.
I am blessed because in the Lord, I will always fear.
This morning when He whispered arise,
his voice I could distinctively hear.
I am blessed because I know the Lord loves me much.
This morning when I placed my cares upon Him,
I received a gentle touch.
I am blessed because the Lord has delivered my soul from hell.
This morning as I praised and glorified Him,
victory began to prevail.
I am blessed because through the Lord,
I have endured my afflictions.
This morning when I exalted Him,
He showered me with affections.
I am blessed because in the Lord I put my trust.
This morning as I prayed he made things just.
I am blessed because the Lord is my ultimate guide.
This morning when I started this old journey,
He was at my side.
I am blessed because the Lord is Alpha Omega,
the beginning and the end.
This morning as I looked around I realized
He is my only friend.
I am blessed because the Lord heard my many cries.
This morning as I prayed, He washed away my enemy’s lies.
I am blessed because the Lord is my everlasting light.
This morning He blessed me with joy to endure another night.
In 2003
People from all over the world felt the effects of war against Iraq on the rise.
Family members and friends would be distant from each other for an unknown period of time, Gasoline prices were on the rise and mixed feelings about the war were definitely set in place. Even the thought of losing a loved one as a casualty of war was surfacing the hearts of many Americans.
My thoughts were……………
The Nation’s War
______________________
As we read daily newspapers about chemical
and biological war fares
We wonder of the fatal effects and tragedy
of this war Satan declares
The smell of war surrounds our thoughts of loss,
and leads us to despair
As our hearts ache for a reasonable end
to this United States Family Affair
We often look at our children and pray for their adulthood
As we wonder how our schools without prayer
could do them any good
Yet a man’s continuous thoughts of wealth
and success clouds his mind
but, we seem to forget the love of money
is the root of evil kind.
As our men and women suit of for this simmering war
And leave behind family and friends so distant and yet so far
I say to you countrymen, lend me your ears,
but give God your heart
For Satan desires to sift us as wheat,
but God’s love will never fall apart
As we visualize our soldiers in combat, fighting for our
country’s freedom
Let us embark on our Heavenly Father’s Holy Wisdom
Let us recite that pledge of allegiance, yes the one that says,
one nation under God
As we go forth in triumph with the power of God,
as Moses did with his rod
We shall suit up in the breastplate of righteousness
And let our light shine of godliness
We shall be shielded with the spiritual fullness
of faith and grace
That enables us to stand united in prayer as we seek our
Heavenly Father’s face
We shall put on the helmet of salvation
As we come to know we are all descendants of one generation
We shall grip the sword of truth and spirit in our hand
And realize God is the ultimate one in command.
To support of a loved one through trying and difficult
times is very important for the growth of love and the feeling
of belonging. Support could mean your presence, assistance, or the kind words one may offer in a needed time such as……….
Nurse Graduation
______________________
I must first give honor to my Heavenly Father,
For allowing me to accomplish this task through His son Jesus
Though these twelve months have not been easy for any of us
I have cried tears of joy and of course tears of despair.
Long hours of study seem to get me down, but thanks to
Christ, I got up with His love and care
And now I want to say a special thanks to my husband and son
For patience, understanding, love, and yes, the chores
you have not done.
To a loving mother, thanks for your devoted time and the
words you gave of such,
That have guided me and prepared me to conquer so much.
To my family and friends, thanks for the
kind words you didn’t refuse to tell
To classmates and teachers, may you be blessed
with laughter and memories
Of me.
Sometimes we are saddened by lessons of life and we feel
alone and motionless, but trust in the Lord and He will
replace that frown with a smile as He smiles on you.
Without a doubt God has truly smiled on me.
