Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom, will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:11–14 NKJV)

Introduction

Writing a book is one of those things I never dreamed of in my life; I hated writing from a young age. Even in class, I never took notes when a teacher was teaching. That was how much I hated writing. I am writing this book not because I suddenly developed interest in writing, but there is an untold story too dangerous to keep. It is a story that will encourage believers to endure this lawless time as foretold by Jesus Christ (Matthew 24), so they won’t miss their crowns. This is a true story of my life, family, the pastor involved, and the church I attended.

I kept this event to myself for some time. I am unfolding this story for the simple fact that I will be relieved and joyful if it causes one soul to repent or one not to fall into similar predicament like I did. Every day there is a chapter of our lives that unfolds, some pleasant, some no big deal, and others sad and shameful but full of life experiences and lessons to be learned. This chapter of my life is full of sadness, shame, sorry, regrets, but most of all, redemption. As sad and shameful as this story might be, I am very grateful I have the opportunity to tell it today, because God is faithful and just to deliver us from all situations, no matter how bad and ugly it may seem.

The purpose of this book is to expose the ways the Devil can use to destroy you, including the very one you trust. I also explain how I ignored the warning signs of sins that led to my downfall, my mistakes, and then to my realization and redemption.

I also tell you how to identify and know a true preacher from one who is fake based on his or her behaviors and preaching. This book will also help you manage disagreements between you and your spouse and how to settle your grievances without handing your marriage over to the Devil. It is a book to help the faithful spouse put his or her marriage back together. I also share ways the couple can work through infidelity and have a stronger marriage.

I am trusting God that as you read this book, it will be a life lesson and a tool that will keep you stronger in your marriage and in your journey with God. And if by any reason you have not received the grace of God that is available to you, by the time you finish reading this book, I pray you will give your life entirely to God and walk with God every day of your life. This is the only way you can identify the Devil’s plan and be victorious in Christ Jesus.

Belonging to a Local Church

Attending a church that is full of the Spirit of God and where the people are connected and identify with each other had always being my passion. I wanted a church where I could identify with the people, have a sense of belonging, and serve. After moving from the state where my family and I had built a life for about eleven years and a church we loved, connected with, and served for six years, we needed a church we could call our own. After several months of searching, a coworker invited us to her church one Sunday. From her explanation of the church, it sounded like the kind of church we could relate to. According to her, The members are spirit-filled, caring for one another’s burden, and full of compassion for lost souls. The pastor is very kind and passionate about his members, spirit-filled, loving, and passionate for lost souls.
