Journey To Nowhere
By Ian Proctor.
Journey to nowhere.
What is my name.
Where is my destiny.
I’ve searched for In vain.
A tiny bridge with waters blue.
A dog that ran to me.
A touch so soft to sooth my brow.
Stays In my memory.
A cottage in the country side.
A bird that sang of joy.
An open door where I was loved.
Stays with this little boy.
A garden with a painted swing.
Of grass so fresh and green.
To breath the air was like a rose.
So sweet and so serene.
Somewhere a voice is calling.
But what is my name.
Can this be my destiny.
I’ve searched for In vain.
Ripples In The Water
By Ian Proctor.
Intro.
Don’t let me be a circle.
With no place left to go.
Let the ripples in the water.
Show a way that I will know.
Will the ripples in the water.
Reflect the mirrors of my mind.
To tell me where I’m going to.
With the things that I shall find.
Sometimes I’ll see a picture.
But then it starts to cloud.
I can’t make the pieces fit.
Like a face that’s in a shroud.
Now the circles go much wider.
But they don’t point or stop.
Shall I follow them to see.
If my life is here or not.
What lies beyond the circle.
I want to know but yet.
Could I lose a friend and face.
The world with no regret.
Let the ripples in the water.
Hold the secret to it all.
For The Very Last Time
By Ian Proctor.
Once I was happy with Janet my wife.
And my kids who were Sara and Dave.
We’d all go out on a picnic.
Then run away and hide in a cave.
But Marie had other ideas.
She’d wait for me walking by.
Then throw her body straight at me.
With the flash of desire in her eye.
I tried to tell her I was married.
But she laughed and pointed to where.
Were big shady trees in a field.
It was plain that she didn’t care.
My heart said no but her eyes said yes.
As she led me straight into hell.
I closed my eyes and tried to forget.
For I knew that I’d hurt you too well.
We continued meeting in secret.
It got later and later each night.
But Janet never said nothing.
She knew our love wasn’t right.
She followed me out to the big oak tree.
Where I was kissing Marie.
With murder in mind and a carving knife.
Then she turned and sprang
