Kim Wigley

Kim Wigley grew up on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada, and as a kid he worked on his grandparents dairy farm in the beautiful Fraser Valley. He married the love of his life, Bonnie, and together they created two beautiful daughters and seven handsome sons, all of whom have blessed them with extremely full lives. With a career as a truck driver, Kim has hauled freight, logs, gravel, and more across western Canada, and today he resides in Edmonton where he enjoys spending time with his family and with God.

STRENGTHEN THE WEAK

For a long time, the Holy Ghost has been pressing me to write. The very words write your testimonies have been implanted on my brain. And now an intense burning fire is touching my soul. This has been confirmed by others, to write about my experiences.

I loved to write in times past but this caused great turmoil with my family. I could see no profit in continuing to write

because of the conflict. As of late though, I have begun to write of my experiences and hope others are blessed by them.

I have put my trust in the Almighty, and this has been my course, that no matter what humanity says, I shall ever trust in my Creator and in the value He has put on my life—and thus also on the life of all!

Lately, my trust in Him has been verified by the Almighty Himself. With that in mind, this writing was inspired.

The souls of humankind, and the lot of humankind, have always been a concern for me. The Almighty has put into my heart a love for my fellow human beings who are struggling and hurting upon this earth. There is such a struggle for men and women to see their way through this life and existence and yet still try to make sense of the terrible circumstances that can surround each one of us.

Truly God does care for each of us, but are we aware of it? Do we see His work for us and see how He tries desperately to alleviate our conditions?

These stories are for the brokenhearted, the weak, and the fearful, and I hope they will strengthen our trust in the Almighty and the value He has put on each of us.

Isaiah 35:2–4 (WEB) says,

They will see Yahweh’s glory, the excellence of our God. Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Tell those who have a fearful heart, Be strong. Don’t be afraid. Behold, your God will come with vengeance, God’s retribution. He will come and save you.

And so, whether you are a pastor, a layperson, or an atheist, may your heart be encouraged and strengthened, and may you ever realize that there is someone looking after you. You need only ask and watch.

KITTY RETURNS

When I was a young boy, I never realized how often my loved ones prayed for me, but the prayers of the saints did avail much. It was a constant comfort to me that the Lord Jesus was always with me, for that was the belief with which I grew up and all I knew as a young child.

My earliest memory from childhood is having had Bible stories read to me at bedtimes. As long as my brother and I would brush my mother’s hair, she would read stories to us. We loved to hear the stories and see the pictures in the books of our favorite Bible characters. One of my favorite books as a child was The Great Controversy, and I remember the look on my mother’s face when I would ask her to read that book to us. It was a look like, not that one, for it was literally hundreds of pages long. Nevertheless, she would read it, and it became one of my all-time favorite books.

As children, we learned to pray—and for such simple things. One of those simple things was our kitty. We were at Papa and Grama’s house in Alberta, and our kitty had disappeared. We prayed to God that He would send our kitty back. This was in coyote country, and the little kitten had little chance of ever coming back. But a few days later, our precious little kitty returned to us unhurt!

We found out later that our answer to prayer had been published in a magazine called Our Little Friend and had inspired many.

As we grew older, we still prayed about everything. Another time when I was about nine years old, we prayed for our big kitty Tom to come home. He had been gone for many days. That night, I decided to promise God that if He would send Tom back, then I would become an evangelist. I did not even really know what that meant.
