MOMMA FROM LEE
= Momma, I ain’t got nothing but love for you
I can’t help but show concern for all you been through
To me there’s no deeper love than me and you
At times when no one in the world cared, you always stayed tru so I’m obliged and more than willing to say thank you for all the wonderful things you do
Most of all for taking time to care from a distance
I reminisce on the time we’d share and when life just didn’t seem fair you gave me advice - told me I had a purpose in life when I felt worthless in life
So Momma no matter whether you wrong or right I do my best to understand
Momma this yo man
Momma I take it upon myself to write this song for you cause in your heart & mine we both know it’s due
Momma I know you probably think I wasn’t listening to you on all those nights when I told you I got to do what I got to do
So no matter how many times I hurt you I hope you can see me trying to do something positive out of all the negative for you
Momma I really don’t know what else to say if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t walk, talk and act this way
Momma sometimes I get so confused and wonder who would I be with out you
And everyday when I awake I hope for the best because of you
You were always my sunshine on days when I felt I couldn’t make it through
Momma I realize you’re the one who introduced me to life
The one who was there when I first opened my eyes to the light
Thank the LORD that you raised me right
If it wasn’t for you I could a cried all night - it might sound funny but it’s so real
Momma I don’t think you understand the way you make me feel when I see you smile
You make all my tears worthwhile
Momma you know I always wanted to do something special for you so on the harder days I hope this helps get you through
Momma I know I’m not the best but I won’t rest until I find success because I’m refusing to believe that I can’t succeed and with you by my side it makes it easier for me to achieve
Now that’s a relief in ways which you probably don’t know how it gives me the right to say I’m proud
So I love you Momma
I love you Momma and
always will even though you got your funny ways you always keep it real.
When times got rough you made sure we had enough
For that I will forever show you mad love
Momma you are one in a million and I know there will never be another Mother for me and that’s why I wrote this song to help you see that my love for you is deeper than the sea.
