The Path to Awesomeness - Frederick Espiritu

    PROLOGUE

More than two hundred thousand years ago, in a faraway galaxy was a longstanding battle between good and evil. The Universal Prince ruling the Earth, along with his associate, was corrupted by darkness and pledge allegiance to rebellion, putting the planet in a state of war. The spiritual-circuits connecting to the Light Source has been temporarily cut-off, isolating earth during its darkest moments.

One of the planet's corporal staff named Van assembled an army of loyal angels, midway creatures and men to withstand the insurgence and bring salvation to Earth. From this army stood out a valiant human hero, Amadon, who became Van's steadfast assistant throughout the warring years. Amadon fully embraced the will of God to be of service to the Universe and to mankind. With a fused mind and soul, he attained the qualities of a superhuman.

After 7 struggling years, the war has finally come to end. Salvation was at hand and peace was restored on the planet. Van and Amadon continued to foster care for the evolving human race until the time of their return to the heavens.

In order to preserve harmony on Earth, 1,111 midway creatures have remained mysteriously inhabiting the planet and a group of human beings from generation to generation are chosen to carry on with the planetary service. These humans are called the Reserved Corps of Destiny.

Planet Earth has evolved from the millennial dark ages and is now on the verge of coming to light. The members of the servant group are once again called to service. Many are called but only a few heeded the call. And from them will emerge a modern human hero -- the Superhuman.

    PART 1

    WHO AM I?

    KNOW THYSELF

T he famous wise saying, " Know Thyself " was inscribed by the Seven Sages of ancient Greece on the forecourt of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi in one of their gatherings. It has ever since become the foundation of knowledge and root of wisdom for ancient philosophers.

How come that we have reached this modern era where we know so much about the world, yet so little about ourselves? This ignorance gave us the perception of our separateness and an individualistic approach to civilization. It resulted to conflict among nations and violence among men. Confusion begins in oneself and we can resolve this by knowing thyself. Only then will we find peace in our hearts and bring heaven on earth.

To know thyself requires us to shift our views from eyesight to insight, from unidimensional to multi-dimensional being, from the five-sensory to the multi-sensory perception, and from the physical to the non-physical form. Insight is introspection. Multi-dimensional refers to the realms beyond the material world. Multi-sensory is the ability to perceive beyond the physical senses. And the non-physical form refers to the soul. The greatest paradox in life is that true reality is unseen to the naked eye, but it is clear as crystal to an open heart.

The phrase only human is a major misconception we connote to ourselves. It has been our long false belief that we became adapted to the false reality. The truth is we are part-human and part-divine. They make up the wholeness of our true essence. When we say we are only humans, we confine ourselves to the physical senses and the material world.

We are multi-dimensional beings that exist in different realms -- the material and the spiritual. The mind, in and of itself, has varying levels of consciousness that has awareness of these realms. The body too, has various layers that correspond to the material and spiritual levels. The soul, however, is by nature above the material and below the spiritual. It is no surprise then that the soul is often the neglected aspect of our being because we know nothing of its nature, where in fact it is our truest essence. We have remained ignorant, until now. This is the first time that we finally have a term for the nature and essence of our soul -- morontia. The decision then from here onwards lies upon us, whether we choose to remain ignorant or to know thyself.

Jesus lived this morontia phase for 40 days after His resurrection and prior to His ascension. He made this visible through divine intervention to demonstrate proof of life after death -- the morontial life.

We are essentially morontia beings on a journey, which begins when our souls incarnate to human form. The eternal purpose of the soul is to learn and the first lesson is its mortal life experience. Earth is just a pre-school in the entire Universe-ity, wherein each and every sojourning soul becomes our schoolmate, or more fittingly our 'soulmate'. During the temporal class here on Earth, there are two teachers -- Teacher Mind and Teacher Heart. And because we are God's special students, He provided us special teachers to act as the sovereign Principal -- our Free Will, and the Guidance Counselor -- the Spirit.

The mind and the spirit are both conscious of the existence of the soul, only that the mind is partially aware while the spirit is fully aware of it. The human part is the lower-self and the divine part is the Higher-Self. In the temporal human lifetime, the challenge to the mind is to become fully conscious, aware of your lower and Higher-Selves.

THE 3 LAYERS OF THE SELF

T he first is the divine layer, the deepest layer that guides and gives spiritual insights to the mind. This is where the inner knowing of higher values and eternal truths are realized. It is the source of creative imagination. This layer communicates using the language of love. It is essential that the second layer understands this language for the growth of the soul.

Nothing else understands the language of love other than the heart -- this is the 'real self', which is the second layer. It bridges the connection between your humanity and divinity. This is the part that needs to be awakened for the mind to be fully conscious of the soul. Awakening requires Metanoia, the journey of changing one's mind, self, or way of life.

The longest journey you will ever take is from your head to your heart.

This is the Path to Awesomeness. It is the shift from the lower self to the Higher Self, from the false self to the real self, or from the third layer to the second layer. The real self emanates from the heart, the source of real power. And Love is the real power of a superhuman.

Do not expect your heart to return. When it dissolves in love, it is gone for good

    -- Rumi

The third layer is the human 'interface', the lower self that is overshadowed by the material mind -- the self-centered ego. This is the layer that needs to be illumined or enlightened in order to carry out the will of the real self, the acts of Love and the works of a superhuman. The ego is the toughest obstacle on the Path to Awesomeness because it is too full of itself, leaving no room for the real self to emerge. It is so busy 'doing' that the real self can't find time to come into 'being'. Whereas the real self dwells in the heart-space of Love, the ego operates based in fear. It relies solely on human intellect and thinks it knows so much, yet understands so little. The ego finds its worth in material possessions thereby wanting to gain everything and keep on getting more, and then seeks validation through fame and recognition. The real self knows that authentic worth is found in giving oneself being in service to others, and asserts self-gratitude for doing so. Material-based worth will lose its value over time, but authentic worth is timeless and will blossom eternally.

"The mind, once enlightened, cannot again become
