About this ebook

Now, comes a question that is especially pertinent to launching us from being children into taking our places as fully grown daughters and sons, Well, if you were going to create a new world, [or create a new situation] what would you do differently? In answering this question, the Land of 22 Fountains points the way to the building up and to the development of a human civilization upon the earth that is imbued with divine qualities. It follows a pattern of four miracles that deal with emotional healing; four miracles that deal with achieving spiritual stability; four that deal with personal growth; four more miracles that have to do with attaining success; and finally six objectives for the benefit of all mankind. These 22 experiences are considered to be miracles because they depend on God for bringing them about.

Each was important to me at times as I was making my way through different phases of life. Thanks to each one for being the Christian ministers that you are and for supporting me; in one way or another, through sharing of your experiences, your homes, sometimes your money, through music, through worship, through reading and studying scriptures. You all helped provide a Christian community around me, for which I will always be grateful. Thank you all so very, very much - hope you like the book.

The First Lesson in Meditation to Become a Miracle Worker

God is continuously at his work of re-creating all the physical forms and all the experiences of all mankind through multiple levels of being in this world; over and over again – through his compassion. So, the first lesson in meditation to work together with God and become as close to a miracle worker as possible; would be to place your sense of self, imaginatively, within the space of God’s compassion. To be completely engulfed, on all sides, with God’s compassion for all of humanity; that is the first lesson. What would that feel like? What would it feel like to abide in that space?

From the perspective of the ordinary world it appears that physical things are real solid, however, things upon the physical plane are really not as solid as they appear to be. Actually, all physical objects start out in invisible realms that we do not perceive, and then continuously materialize out of what appears to be nothing. I use the analogy that any single phenomenon appearing to our perceptions in the ordinary world is like every 10th frame of a film strip. In this analogy, we ordinarily perceive about one tenth of reality. Things that appear to us as solid (the tenth frame) are thus actually multi-layered through these invisible realms (the nine frames that we are not seeing). Our ordinary perceptions are limited, having this effect that everything appears so solid and not-multi-layered at all.

Also, everything that we might conceive of as continuously materializing out of nothing is actually continuously materializing out of God’s compassion for all humanity. This is a huge difference. Are things continuously materializing through these multi-layers out of nothing? Or are things continuously materializing out of God’s compassion? The bias in this work is first that I choose to believe things are continuously coming forth and second that I choose God’s compassion. So the entire revelation of the Land of 22 Fountains flows from believing these two preferences.

The entire Land of 22 Fountains experience rests on this one profound realization: all that is springs forth spontaneously, continuously, moment by moment from God’s compassion for all of humanity. Therefore, if you prefer to believe this one thing – continuous re-creation - you will completely get the Land of 22 Fountains.

Actually I need to make a clarification; God is the one who performs miracles. It was God that performed miracles through Jesus. Jesus Christ never did things based on his own strength and neither should we. Now the idea of working together with God so that miracles take place makes better sense than trying to become a miracle-worker, doesn’t it? Yes – that helps tremendously. It is not that we perform miracles, but something different concerning having a desire to see that miracles take place and a desire to try and control the outcomes. How do we move the hand of God so to speak and make things more to our liking?

Physical forms are thus, not completely solid through and through – all forms actually have the quality of plasticity and therefore are subject to immediate alterations based on the intentions of any soul that has cultivated this ability. That is what we attempt to do experimentally here in the Land of 22 Fountains; how to become a miracle-worker in this life – like Jesus Christ. Not to say that we will; but simply to say that we will try to follow him in attempting to have God work through us in the same or a similar way. Jesus changed water into wine. He multiplied a few loaves and fishes so as to feed a multitude. He walked on water, raised the dead; cured the sick, the blind, and the lame. Then he said, follow me. That is what this is about – what do you think about trying?

The activity of stepping down the forms of things from higher to lower planes is called continuous re-creation. This work of continuous re-creating proceeds from God’s compassion. So the very first lesson in having a daily meditation practice towards becoming a miracle worker is to identify what it feels like to abide within God’s compassion. To me this feeling is essential to have spiritual life. Yet it seems to have gone missing – and you know how frustrating your experience in this life can be when some essential thing has gone missing, like your car keys for example! 18855.png

Look, here is how it feels like to abide in the space of God’s compassion: imagine a cube that surrounds you on six sides; and place the following six qualities on each side; above you imagine what it feels like to be desired. Wow – can you sense that? Then below you; imagine feeling accepted. Take some time. Absorb the two feelings; you are desired and accepted. Then, to your left, imagine feeling loved; and to your right, nurtured. Again take your time. Absorb the feeling of being desired, accepted, loved and nurtured. Finally; behind you is the feeling of being acknowledged; and in front, imagine that you are received. Thus you are completely validated. (These six qualities are from the book Miraculous Living by Rabbi Shoni Labowitz) Take it in; however, it all sounds so serious, so right at the center; please add a sense of humor. Now try that on for size. Can you sense a feeling of being whole and complete? Feels pretty good, doesn’t it? You might want to practice that over and over until it becomes your habitual inner dwelling place. Please, if you want to sometime, give it a try.

This sense of being within the space of God’s compassion is provided for your use, to be the continual dwelling place of your highest self; your inner sanctuary while in this world. If you wanted to, you could possibly learn how to live your life by moving your awareness out from this center of your being, outward to the lower planes where you experience ordinary life on the physical plane; then return to this center. I’m just saying that going from and returning to this center could possibly define a new way of living for someone. I don’t know if it would apply to you in that way; but for someone, it could be a new way of stepping their awareness down the manifestation planes to witness miracles in the making and it could become as natural as breathing; and about as quick as breathing, once you get practiced at it. In my opinion this is a gift that God has given to every person that is living in these last times, through the salvation of Jesus Christ. This is part of your inheritance to experience in the last times, as a child of God. It is yours if you want it.

Here is the way it works with me: the integration of God’s compassion on the one hand with God’s continuous re-creation on the other. In my meditation practice I equate God’s compassion with exhaling and God’s continuous re-creation with inhaling. I end up flying to God with emotional urgent desperate needs; an extremely short term view; and then coming away with a different point of view on the inhales;, more long term and calculated – as if we were pulling together and building up a new world from the chaos that surrounds us; extremely long-term perspective. Up to the highest sense of myself, drawn by God’s compassion and carrying all my desperate problems – this is immediate; like it could take place in one exhalation. By the way, exhaling is symbolic of death; so built into our consciousness is that although we fly to God with our problems; at the same time; we are surrendering our desired expectations unto
