    (Int. daytime- Kelly’s house)

Narrator: This has to be one of the hottest days of the summer. This a story about an eighteen year old girl named Roxy Franks.

(Camera panning down over Roxy asleep in her bed.)

Narrator: Roxy is smart, pretty, outgoing and had a body that some women would kill for. Roxy is a fire cracker with a troubled soul and a short fuse.

    Scene(Int. daytime- Roxy’s room)

Early forth of July 2001, Roxy woke up in her favorite red and white poker dotted pajamas to the smell of bacon, eggs, and pancakes. She decided to take a shower before breakfast.

Kelly is cooking and singing to little Randy in the kitchen. About 9:00 Roxy walked into the kitchen.

    Randy: (Kelly singing along)

1-2 buckle my shoe. 3-4 shut the door. 5-6 pick up sticks.

    Roxy: (Hugging Kelly)

    Good morning mama.

    Kelly:

Hey baby. You want some breakfast this morning?

    Roxy:(Kissing Randy)

    Yes I’m starving. Hey how’s mama’s boy?

    Randy:

I’m fine. I have bacon. Sing with me mommy. 1-2 buckle my shoe.

    Roxy:

3-4 shut the door. 5-6 pickup sticks.

    Kelly:

What are you doing today Roxy?

    Roxy:

I’m going to a concert in the park today. I gotta get my groove on.

    Kelly:

Well Randy and I are going to the beach to watch the fire work show. I bought him some fire works. We’re gonna have a good time. You should come with us Roxy.

    Roxy:

That sounds like fun. Save me a sky rocket sweetie. Mama I’ve got better things to do with my 4th of July.

    Randy:

Ok mama. Better then firecrackers mama?

    Roxy:

Mama I love you so much for standing by me and my son. Thank you mama for taking such good care of us and keeping us strong and healthy. I love you for that mommy.

    Kelly:

I love you guys too baby, that’s what moms are here for. Something has been bothering me though baby.

    Roxy:

    What’s wrong mama?

    Kelly:

I need to know where you’re getting all of this money, clothes, and jewelry from? You don’t have a job, and me and your father give you everything you need. And why is everything more important then Randy?

    Roxy:

Don’t worry mommy, I’m not out there robbing nobody or selling drugs. I just have friends out there taking good care of me, that’s all ma. You know that I love him. I just made other plans today. I’ll make it up to him later. Right slugger?

    Kelly:

Rox, you’re out in those streets all night and coming in with all kinds of stuff, so what are you doing for them out there?

Roxy: (Roxy eating a slice of bacon from her plate)

Now I can help you and daddy pay some of these bills around here. It’s the least I could do you take such good care of Randy. Stop stressing ma, I got this!

    Scene:

Roxy walked to the front door. She looked through the black bar gate. Roxy opened the door looking outside.

    Roxy:

    Mama where’s my father?

    Kelly:

Girl you know your father. He may be down at Chocolate’s house.

    Kelly:

Roxy call down to Chocolates and see if he’s down there.

    Roxy: (looking back at Kelly)

I see his car in the driveway. He’s there. Mama I hate to see you in so much pain. Daddy never spends any time with you anymore. It pisses me off, he should be ashamed of himself.

    Kelly:

    It’s ok baby.

    Roxy:

No mama it’s not ok. Why are you letting him treat you like that?

    Kelly:

    I’ll be fine Roxy.

    Roxy:

I’m tired of seeing you all depressed and crying. You can’t even hide it anymore. Daddy is tripping!

Scene: (Split screen- Roxy dialing on one side- Big Willie and chocolate in bed on other side)

Roxy called six houses down to Big Willie’s woman’s house.

    Narrator:

This is Big Willie Roxy’s father and his mistress Chocolate. Big Willie fell in love Chocolate last year. He met her at the neighborhood cleaners while dropping off some laundry, he’s been sleeping with her ever since.

Roxy saw Hector getting in his car across the street. He is a wild Mexican dude. He gets drunk and beat up on his wife Gloria.

Every once in a while you’ll see Gloria chasing Hector with a butcher knife about some bitch he done snuck in the house.

Chocolates phone rang. Roxy hated Chocolate for breaking up her family. Even when Big Willie should be at work his car would be parked in Chocolate’s driveway.

    Chocolate:

    Hello?

    Roxy:

    Where’s my father hoe?

    Chocolate:

    Eating my pussy bitch!

    Roxy:

Bitch don’t make me come down there cause my daddy can’t save your stupid ass from this thrashing you’re gonna get.

    Chocolate:

Listen you little bitch don’t call my house with that bullshit. What the fuck do you want? Calling down here with that bullshit early in the morning.

    Roxy:

Put my dad on the phone stupid ass.

    Big Willie:

    Hello?

    Roxy:

Daddy you need to leave that home wrecking bitch alone and come check on your wife.

My mother is tired of dealing with you and that stupid bitch. She’s down here feeling all lonely and shit. Why she have to suffer for your shit?

You should be ashamed of yourself. Aren’t you playing it a bit close to home? Move that bitch off our block. Six houses down, you don’t even care about us like you should.

    Big Willie:

Wait a damn minute Roxy. I am still your father and you will respect me. I can’t have you calling down here disrespecting Chocolate.

You don’t have to be so damn rude. I raised you better then that. Now tell your mama I’ll be there soon.

    Roxy:

See daddy when you put that bitches feelings before ours you’re wrong. We hate the ground that bitch walk on. She’s a home wrecking slut.

Daddy I love you but I will fuck Chocolate up!

    Big Willie:

See Roxy I can’t even talk to you anymore. That mouth of yours is gonna get you in a lot of trouble one day. I’ll be there soon. Bye.

    Scene:

One hour later, Big Willie came walking in with guilt gifts. He had long stem red roses, A Macy’s garment bag, and a May Co. shoebox.

    Willie:

    Kelly! Where are you honey?

    Kelly:

Yes Willie. Why are you shouting through the house?

    Willie:

    I have something for you.

    Scene:

Willie went out on a shopping spree for Kelly. He handed Kelly the gifts and stood back. Kelly pulled a purple dress from the box. Guilt was pouring all out of his ass.

    Kelly:

These are beautiful thank you Willie.

    Scene:

Kelly put the gifts back in the bags and walked into the kitchen. She tried to be strong not letting her husbands affair get to her. She fought back the tears.

    Willie:

What’s wrong honey? Don’t you like the gifts?

    Kelly:

    Sure there lovely. Thank you.

    Scene:

Suddenly, Hector’s dog started barking very loud. Roxy ran to the front door. Chocolate was out there cursing and screaming.

    Chocolate:

Willie bring yo punk ass out here now. Bring yo ass mutha fucka!

    Scene:

Roxy ran out the door and Willie caught her by the arm.

    Willie:

Let me handle this Roxy. I’ll take care of it.

    Roxy:

    Daddy I know you
