About this ebook
Robert G. Yeager
Robert Gill Yeager was a multiracial child orphaned at birth in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1959 and lived in a variety of foster homes and institutions while growing up, experiencing a surreal odyssey of hardships and at times abuse. Robert held on to the belief that there was always a greater life force than himself and that by embracing this belief he was able to somehow survive his trials and tribulations, despite the odds that were stacked against him from birth. After graduating from high school Robert joined the United States Navy and was able to travel the world where he gained further, deeper insights into life than what he had already accumulated from his childhood. Robert’s poetry offers truly deep, honest and passionate insights into life based on his vast life experiences and hopes readers can connect to the true meaning of their own lives the way Robert has stayed connected to his. Robert has been writing poetry for 30 years and discovered his ‘voice’ after moving to Los Angeles from his humbled beginnings in Pittsburgh, enduring the culture shock of the move all along the way since.

Of Life
The beauty of life is for the rich and the poor
From all walks of life to the birds and the bees
The beauty of life is a mind that’s free
Spirits flying high carefree and alive
The sorrow of life is when life cannot be
No justice at all not given a chance
The sorrow of life is when life is not free
Hindered away and sad as one last dance
The mystery
