About this ebook

This book represents a major part of the last two years of my life and my impending demise. I found the angel I have been searching for my entire life; the angel princess I have dreamt of before she took her first breath and before I was ever born. I dont believe in reincarnation, but I believe we may have been together from the foundations of time innumerate. Her name is Melancholia, and this book is MelancholiaLand. This poetic story is of my ceaseless love for her and challenges the very veil of reality that one day will shatter and fall before us.

Great reading. Most of us deny our dreams and get busy with works we do not like to do and waste our lives.

Dedicated To

Peter Martin

Without Peter’s ceaseless encouragement and support this book would not have been possible. He has been a trusted friend and more of a father than my own father ever was. I owe him my most sincere gratitude for all he has done for me. This is for you Peter:

Thou Art The Earthly Father, The Guiding Hand,

The Knight And Romancer By God’s Command,

The Unworn Rock Amongst The Sundered Sand,

The Great Aristotle To Alexander Grand,

Mine Gandalf Through MelancholiaLand

Peace Be Ever With Thee,

Peter The Rock That Never Wears!¡!¡!¡

Introduction

MelancholiaLand was written by Nicholas Calabrese also known as NiklussiX of Atlantic City and I would like to thank Peter Martin of London who made publishing possible by his most generous support and encouragement. The quotes in the poem ‘Melancholia Foretold’ were written by MelancholiasiX and the poem ‘Psychic Angel’ was cowritten by MelancholiasiX.

Biography

Nicholas Calabrese also known as NiklussiX was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey in the United States of America. He was raised in Brigantine, New Jersey where he mostly spent his time surfing and learning the art of music specifically how to play guitar, bass and sing. His major writing influences were first and foremost J.R.R Tolkien and the musicians he loved in his youth; other influences were writers such as Milton, Homer, Dante Alighieri, Plato, Herodotus and of course The Holy Bible. His writing influences were worth more than an education at the most prestigious Ivy League institution or any institution for that matter.

One day NiklussiX realized his life had been nothing more than slavery as he had put his dreams aside to simply survive as most have done. He then decided to write and make music like he had always wanted to and put his dreams first and no longer care whether or not he survives; for slavery is worse than death. This book is the first step in that journey and may be the last and if that is the case then so be it. He never wanted to live until he was ninety anyway.

Peter Martin was born in Trinidad 1959, but lived in London most his life, traveling back to visit family often in the West Indies.
