    Life - Xlibris US

    A MOMENT IN TIME

    I dream of halting time,

Staying time in a single moment,

To see the beauty all around,

    To take it all in.

Footprints about to be washed away,

    The stars filling the sky,

A rose as it blossoms in the sun,

The rain as it falls upon the earth.

I dream of living days in a single moment,

To see two lovers holding each other unashamed,

To see a father and son sharing time,

To see a mother and daughter sitting over a drink.

To see the light of the sun,

As it dances in the rain,

    Or the moon,

As the rain dances in her silver light.

    I dream of halting time,

To see the lovely patterns of a river,

Frozen to see all its beauty,

Knowing it will fade as soon as time begins again.

    To put to words,

A flower petal falling in spring,

Its slow fall from the bow,

    Its graceful glide to earth.

I dream of time standing still,

    To put to ink,

Snow as it stands in air,

For one lovely moment neither in heaven nor in earth.

    To see a bird,

Frozen as it turns toured nest,

    With food for young,

And only one concern in that moment.

    I dream of halting time,

    O see a waterfall,

    Drops breaking free,

    Of the parent flow.

    To savor the love given,

By mother and father and brothers,

    To bask in their achievements,

    And share in their pride.

    But all a dream,

    Time flows as a river,

    We among its current,

    Watching all as we pass.

    I stop to stare,

    Wondering at it all,

    Even as it passes by,

    Savoring the precious moments.

    Time never halts,

    Yet we can,

    To stop and see,

    All these lovely things.

To hear the whispered words of a lover,

    To see the dancing rain,

    To se the crashing waves,

    To see the new day.

    We run to and fro,

To fast to see these things,

    We try to capture them,

    In images we halt them.

    Yet they are but images,

    A poor copy,

    A cheep imitation,

    Of what we see.

They will never be more alive,

Tan when we set eyes on them,

    In our memories,

When they play over and over.

    In these moments,

    We see the beauty,

    In all around,

And in the time so precious.

    DARKENING SKY’S

When the dark rolling tied comes in,

    When all around fails,

When wisdom fails and desires reign,

    And darkness is complete.

Your light will be cast down,

Your silver light will be felled,

You will look for order in this darkness,

    But chaos will reign.

    You will run,

    But they will hunt,

You will hide but they will find,

Yet for all their hunt and find they cannot fell your soul.

So stand firm in Golden Lights faithful rays,

Make war on all evil thought and deed,

Cast down all evil in your heart

Stand in Golden Lights powerful rays.

    DAY AND NIGHT

In the light of day all is new,

    More is seen,

    More is revealed,

All is open to the eye.

    In the dark of day,

    All is a mystery,
