About this ebook
A book of poetry written by a young man from the time he was 20-24 years old. These poems hit on the topics of love, lust, nature, philosophies of life, and self-motivation. When reading these poems you will enter the mind of a "twenty-something" and experience the emotional rollercoaster he journeyed on for those 4 years of his life.
Sam Brooks
Sam Brooks was born and raised in Nashville, TN. His improvised rhyming skills all began when his brother, Trey, introduced him to freestyling over instrumental hip-hop beats in the car on the way to school. From there, Sam began to explore new vernacular terrains by providing the lyrics during jam sessions with his mates. Once he graduated college, he continued to write poetry while pursuing the art of acting. Sam’s most recent projects include: DC Universe’s “Stargirl,” R.L. Stine’s “Fear Street 2,” and an indie feature titled these “These Streets We Haunt.” All of these are to be released in 2020. About This Book
I started writing the poems that reside on the following pages my junior year of college; this helped me to cope with the feeling of I’m working for a degree that I might never use.
