Toni fell back on her bed and let out a big sigh. Oh do I love that man.

He had continued to excel at his position at the hospital, so Toni had scaled back in her position. Since having Payton, they decided that she would begin working part-time so she could be home more with the kids. This week had been one of those few occasions when she had to attend a lecture in Greensboro. Five days away from her family felt like a month. She missed the man she had come to love, and she believed that he missed her as well. As she lay back on the bed a smile came over her face as the thought of the making up she and her husband had in store. Although their responsibilities had continually increased, it didn’t dampen their desire for each other or their attention to it. They always made time for loving each other, and definitely for making love with each other.

Missed You

T ONI’S LECTURE ENDED early, so she decided to hit the road without calling Marcus in order to surprise him. She had already checked out of her hotel, so she stopped to gas up her car and make her hour and a half journey back home. If all went well, she could be home before 4pm. However; as luck would have it, there was a terrible accident on I 85 that slowed her progress.

As she was slowly directed around the wreckage of two over turned vehicles, she took a moment to say a prayer. Lord I truly thank you for giving me traveling mercy. I pray that you keep those drivers in the safety of your hands. Amen.

Finally able to drive the speed limit after nearly an hour of stop-go traffic, she managed to make up some time and she made it home around 630pm.
