Introduction
Patrick and Heather Morris have been married for ten shaky years. They have no kids, but they welcome Heather’s sister Diane into their home after she claims the father of her child abandoned her. The two sisters never got along, and they grew further apart when their parents died. Heather is very envious toward Diane, and she did not want her moving into her home, but the man she married convinced her to do it for her nephew. Diane is gorgeous, very intelligent, and a strong believer in following her dreams, and she did. She didn’t want the big-paying job; she wanted a career she would wake up and be excited about. She wanted to be a professional dancer, but Heather always told her that it wasn’t a good idea. Diane always did what she wanted, and she danced for a professional sports team, and while she wasn’t doing that, she danced in many different music videos for different hot rappers. She handled herself quite well until she ended up pregnant and had to put her dreams on hold. Her sister’s husband, Patrick, offers to help Diane so she wouldn’t be so hard on herself. Patrick is a professional doctor that helps many different people and receives great reviews and a lot of recommendations. His clients love him, and they find their way
after their sessions. He insists that Diane and her son, Ayden, go rest up so they both will be refreshed in the morning. She obeys his request, and they’re in for the night. After they show them to the guest room, Heather and Pat go into their master bedroom, where she lets him know exactly how she feels.
If it wasn’t for you, that girl would be on the street!
Keep your voice down, and that girl is your sister,
Pat replies.
I don’t care. She’s a manipulator and can’t be trusted.
Well, dear, let me evaluate her and see if what you say is true?
That’s all you do is work and help other people, you never have time for me anymore.
Well, dear, if I don’t work, then how will we continue to live nice like we do? You know your needs have to be met.
You take great care of me, Pat, thank you. You know, after all these years, I have never sat in any of your sessions.
That isn’t professional, and I don’t think my clients would appreciate that.
What’s wrong with me sitting in just one session?
You know what, I’ll clear my schedule for tomorrow, and I will have a session with Diane. You can sit in your first session, perfect.
What about your patients?
Don’t call them ‘patients.’ They’re my clients that seek my professional opinion.
Well, whatever,
was Heather’s nonchalant reply.
They’ll understand. I’ll give my scheduled clients two free sessions to make up for me canceling on them.
Now you’re taking from our pockets.
Heather, you wanted to sit in on a session, so why not have a family session? Plus this is us spending time together,
Pat utters sarcastically.
Are you being a smart-ass?
Of course I am because at times you can be a dumbass. Just kidding, just kidding! You’re so angry, you need to loosen up a bit, let me go pour you a drink.
You know I love a drink, especially right before bed.
Pat goes to the kitchen and prepares a drink for his wife while she slips into something sexier and more comfortable. He enters the room with drinks in his hand and hands Heather her drink. They’re sitting in bed watching television and drinking while the room is quiet.
Heather says, This house is too quiet, we need to spice it up.
Your sister and nephew are trying to sleep. Let’s be courteous and not disturb them, they had a long day.
How is this disturbing them?
She pulls down his briefs and proceeds to give him head. Pat drops his drink and grabs his wife’s hair and motions her head up and down as she’s sucking. It’s feeling so good Pat says out loud, Damn, baby, you’re the best!
Heather stops and says, Calm your voice down, Pat, that’s rude, we don’t want to disturb our guest, remember?
She hits the lamp and gets on top, and they’re off into the night …
Sister Ruby Patterson Introduces Angela to Bishop
Sister Patterson walks into Bishop’s office and introduces her friend Angela, who’s in desperate need for prayer. Sister Patterson says, Bishop, this is my friend Angela, and she’s here for prayer.
The house of the Lord is always open for prayer,
Bishop says.
Thank you, Bishop,
Angela says in her weeping voice.
Bishop and Angela have a seat while Sister Patterson leaves them alone. Bishop asks Angela what was her reason for needing prayer, and she replies, I suspect my husband is cheating. He’s different, he rarely looks at me, he never kisses me, he never hugs me, we haven’t been intimate in two out of five years we’ve been married. I cook, I clean, I keep myself up, and I make sure when he comes home from job searching, he doesn’t have to worry about anything because not being able to provide for your family can be stressful. I have a great career, and I do my best to carry our family until he finds work. Something is wrong, Bishop, I don’t want a divorce because I took a vow before God, and that is sacred to me. What do you suggest I do?
Bishop asks, Well, sister, how often do you pray?
I pray throughout my day, all day, every day.
My wife and I have been married over thirty years, and we still have problems here and there. No matter what, we always find a solution to the problem, and we never forget to pray. I’m one of few that have been chosen by our Lord to preach the gospel, but I’m also human, and the devil can get the best of me sometimes. God is a merciful God, and he knows I mean nothing but good to my wife. A family that prays together stays together, how often do you and your husband pray?
We pray together here and there, not so much, that’s why I constantly pray throughout the day, every day.
How often do you and your husband attend church?
We haven’t been together in over two years.
Two years? That’s how long your problems been going on, correct?
Bishop asks.
Yes, the first three years were amazing. I wouldn’t trade them for nothing in this world.
That’s beautiful, as long as you appreciate and remember the positive there will always be hope for your marriage. Just trust God and always remember to keep the faith.
She begins to cry and says, That’s what I’ve been doing, and it’s not working!
God might not come when you want him to, but he’s never late and is always on time. Do you and your husband have any kids?
Yes, sir, just one precious three-year-old boy.
Have your marital problems affected him in any way?
No, he’s a great father, he’s in love with our son, and our son loves his dad. I’m here because I don’t want to lose my husband. If we split up, I don’t know if our son would understand. I want my family. They mean the world to me.
My child, your marriage is going to be just fine. Your determination and relentless effort to find a solution to your problem is good enough, and plus the Lord is the head of your life, he will never forsake you. Do you have a picture of your family?
Yes, I do, in my wallet, let me get it for you.
She hands the bishop her wallet, when they hear knocks at the door. The door opens up, and it’s Pat. Bishop accidentally drops the wallet and says, Pat, my son, it’s great to see you, we were just finishing up.
Angela says, But we weren’t finished, Bishop.
Bishop says, Not trying to be rude, but if you and your husband can make it to church on Sunday, that would be perfect. Maybe joining a church together as husband and wife can be the first step in fixing your marriage.
Bishop picks up her wallet and hands it back to her, when she says, I’ll try, Bishop, he’s a closed book most of the time.
Bishop says, Don’t try, just do it, you are his wife, so be his better half so you both can become better as a whole.
Yes, sir, Bishop, we will see you Sunday.
Who was that?
Pat asks.
A young lady seeking help for her marriage.
What for?
She thinks her husband is cheating.
Well, I’m not here because I think Heather is cheating. I’m here because I’ve dealt with her bickering and silly accusations for too long, I want a divorce.
Now, son, you know that’s not the answer.
Well, Dad, after this morning, I’m really done!
What happened, son …
Pat Tells Bishop What Happened During Family Session
After an amazing night together, Heather gets out of bed to prepare breakfast for everybody. She’s in the kitchen in her robe, and her sister comes down the stairs. Heather greets her with a very happy good morning.
Diane paused and approached the kitchen slowly. Heather asks, Why are you walking like that?
Diane replies, You’re actually cooking, and you spoke to me first? Is this a trap?
No!
her sister replied. I’m feeling refreshed, how about you?
I’m fine! Ayden is still sleeping, so I left the room because I didn’t want to disturb him.
Pat is still sleeping, and after last night he might be sleeping all day.
Too much information, which explains why you’re so jolly this morning.
Yes, I’m in a fantastic mood, sister. I’m in such a great mood I may have a little love somewhere for you in my big heart.
You’re such a bitch!
Why did you come here? Out of all the places to go, you chose to come here?
You are my only family, Heather, I had nowhere else to go, and plus I figured it would be perfect for my son to bond with his auntie.
Who said I wanted to bond with that bastard child?
Bastard child? Could you get pregnant even if you wanted to?
I chose—
Diane cuts her off. You chose not to have kids after ten years of marriage and your husband is doing great in his practice, yea right! You can’t have kids, so you belittle me and my child because you can’t bear one.
Get the hell out of my house!
Hey, hey, hey, what’s going on in here?
Pat asks.
Diane sarcastically says, Guess you didn’t put it down like you thought.
Then she gets up from the counter and walks upstairs to check on her son.
Heather, what just happened?
Pat asks.
Nothing, she got smart, and I checked her. Here’s breakfast, hope you like it.
Pat sits down and says, "You know I love your
