On Tuesday October 3,1916 in Biloxi, Mississippi a baby boy was born, his name was Michael Raine he was one of14 children, nobody knew at that point what Michael would grow up to be or do I don’t think his parents cared, all they were concerned about is that their child was healthy and grew up with good values.
Michael was like every other child he got into mischief, enjoying life, going to school studying hard, all In all he was a good child, he learned to put his best foot forward in whatever he did whether he was doing homework or daily chores around the house and everyone loved him.
His parents moved the family to New York where he attended school, and after graduation Michael traveled to Georgia to pursue a successful boxing career, Michael was dedicated to advancing in the sport of boxing.
On Sunday April 15,1916 in South Carolina a baby girl was born her name was Nikki Lynn she was one of three children, she grew up in the era when women used torn up cloths as sanitary pads, outhouses were a normal fixture on the property and living off the land by growing crops, she learned the value of a dollar, being the only girl her brothers were just like every other boys who teased and picked with their sister.
Nikki’s parents worked hard to put clothes on their backs and food on the table, and keep a roof over their head Nikki and her brothers were very close, they received so much love, they were taught the meaning of respect. The family eventually moved to Biloxi, Mississippi when she was quite young but little did she know she would soon meet her future husband she was just busy with her studies and family life.
In 1936 Michael who coincidently was working in Biloxi I remember when. Nikki spoke about the moment she laid eyes on Michael, her heart fluttered then seemed to skip a beat the site of him took her breathe away, she couldn’t look away because he was just that handsome.
Michael stood over 6 feet tall with broad shoulders and he had the most beautiful smile she’d ever seen, his eyes were so dark, he had olive colored skin, he
