This is us. Simple folk. Born in Midland Ontario in 1976 and moving to Brampton Ontario in 1987; Alf got a little taste of small town life and the city life. Mostly on scraps of paper, yet includes several volumes of unpublished poetry. Alf wouldn’t be anywhere without his family; Kathryn his wife, along with Aimee, Albert, Allistar and Agnes, his children make up Alf4. We spend our time cleaning parks and serving the Royal Canadian Legion.

    Introduction

As an amateur writer; I have been collecting poems and short verses all my life. I honestly believe that the written word should be free but I can’t raise my family on nothing. So this is my first attempt at being published.

All I hope for with this project is to enlighten at least one reader and someday, maybe the masses. At least with it publicised I have left a legacy for my family. Family is all you got in life and its all for them.

I hope you enjoy this collection and if it turns out to be a success maybe you will see more from me; as we as a family have many artistic avenues to follow and share.
