Timothy T. Ajani

Tim Ajani is an Associate Professor of English and Foreign Languages, and Foreign Language Coordinator at the Fayetteville State University, North Carolina. He is also a part-time faculty at the Grace College of Divinity, where he teaches Effective Communication and Writing and Research courses. He holds a doctorate in linguistics from the University of Florida. Ajani’s first volume of poetry was released in 2008. He resides in Fayetteville, North Carolina, with his lovely wife, Funmi, and two fast-growing sons, Ayoola and Ibukun.

Sure will keep the devil away

Your soul’s enemy well at bay

Just take a dose each day

And it’ll brighten your day

Taken with a good dose of faith

It sure will take you a long way

So just read one each day

And it’ll take you all the way

It’ll do good to your soul, I dare say

And cause your spirit to soar again

Like an eagle, you’ll fly all day

Soaring above the clamors of ev’ry day

As your Lord holds your hands each day

Walking you through the demands of the day
