In Pathways I share special places and special thoughts from personal journeys into the outdoor world. Pathways is meant to take you with me on a fifteen or twenty minute walk on well worn trails with stops along the way to admire, to sit, to meditate; or, to reflect upon natures wonders. Enjoy!

    Photographic Content Note: Emphasis in Pathways is placed on scenes found in the high country of Western North Carolina in the Ashe, Avery, Watauga, and Transylvania Counties with a side trip into Georgias Ogeechee State Park. Free verse accompanies these photo selections expressing the thoughts and feelings I experienced along these paths.

    Collee Riddle is a native of Black Mountain, North Carolina where she grew up hiking undiscovered mountain trails, rock climbing, and horseback riding through land seldom visited by people. Collee started out at a young age on her “camera adventures” exploring paths, waterways and the mountain scenes of Western North Carolina. Among her favorite activities are long walks in the woods, taking her canoe out in a swamp, or pitching her tent somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Listening to the waterfalls, seeing wildlife, canoeing a stream and bringing our history into today are themes behind the photographic collections that Collee presents. Along with her walks, Collee has always had pen, paper, and camera to capture her perceptions and thoughts from the woods. The feeling and wonder of the natural world around us transcends and becomes a tangible presence through Pathways, a collection of photographs and free verse
