About this ebook
Fathomage likens the journey of a river to a woman's life through an anthology of poems. The evocative imagery of rivers, floodplains and meanderings are a metaphor for the societal forces that shape and influence the flow of a woman's existence.

How does she still flow?
This is an ode to women.
A woman’s life is much like the flow of a river. The promise of spring, vibrant and gushing is often overwhelmed by the constraints of land, culture, and sheer prejudice. The river meanders, negotiates, navigates changing shapes, and flows around the constraints. Just like us, women.
Our challenges are unique, but we remain united in our struggles for space, freedom, for flow. As the river flows through the plains, it meanders, losing and finding itself. Sometimes flooding the land with an unstoppable might. The floods also nourish and nurture life much like the innate instinct of women.
The wild, untameable, open, graceful, contained beauty of being a woman. Our presence, words, songs, flights & falls are a collective inheritance that is bestowed time and again to each one of us. Every moment is a reminder of our invincible spirits, every wave of misfortune leaving behind only pearls.
This is a dedication to my sisters, girls, women, and all the ladies around the world. This is your story in mine and how we continue to flow, from source to destiny.
For Baba,
To lose may after all just
