To: my wife Linda…I wish to thank Linda for creating the warm, comfortable home environment that allowed for my occasional creativity. Without her encouragement and support, I would not have started nor completed this book.
To: my daughters Stephanie and Nikki….without the voluminous requests for the reading of bedtime stories from my eldest daughter Stephanie…and without the minimal requests for bedtime stories from my youngest daughter Nikki (which I, probably incorrectly, attributed to her discriminating tastes in literature)… I would not have tried to write a better
children’s book. I persevered, attempting to write that perfect children’s book that would satisfy both daughters and their divergent tastes in bedtime literature.
Also, I wish to thank Steve Cooper, who converted my mind’s visions of Aristotle and Burgoo into the
