James L. Robbins was born in Wichita, Kansas and attended Wichita State University, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Geology. He currently owns and operates his own oil and gas exploration company (Kanex) in Wichita. Jim has been married for 43 years, has 2 married daughters, and 4 grandchildren. He is a strong supporter of bedtime stories and the interactions they create between parents and children. With his fun rhyming phrases, Jim authored The Remarkable Friendship of Aristotle and Burgoo (2011). From that story, he wrote the sequel, Aristotle and Burgoo and the Ditto-Flake-Flu, which recounts even more adventures of two unlikely best friends.

    To: my wife Linda…I wish to thank Linda for creating the warm, comfortable home environment that allowed for my occasional creativity. Without her encouragement and support, I would not have started nor completed this book.

    To: my daughters Stephanie and Nikki….without the voluminous requests for the reading of bedtime stories from my eldest daughter Stephanie…and without the minimal requests for bedtime stories from my youngest daughter Nikki (which I, probably incorrectly, attributed to her discriminating tastes in literature)… I would not have tried to write a better children’s book. I persevered, attempting to write that perfect children’s book that would satisfy both daughters and their divergent tastes in bedtime literature.
