    Chapter I

    Diversity and Creation

The essence of life is found in the diverse mechanisms formed from the diversity of creation. Diversity is the indigenous difference of all life-forms and their relationship to one another. The individual diversity of life on this planet has a profound conformity regardless of their differences. In fact, the origin of any one life-form is unique in its own character, creating a diverse population of cultures. These unique cultures within the population are genetically coded to create many different life-forms that complement their coexistence. The meaning of this statement is that plant and animal life have a wonderful way of coexisting, supporting each other’s life functions.

The uniqueness of diversity in creation inspires me to seek out the good and delete the bad; in this way, I can rise above the physical realm of existence. By rising above the physical realm of life into the spiritual, I can appreciate the amazing mind of God, and his omnipotence (all-powerful), omnipresence (everywhere), and omniscience (all-seeing and all-knowing). I don’t want to become incessantly biblical on you, but I wanted to share this Bible verse with you, it comes from Genesis, the first book in the Bible. Genesis 1:1 states that in the beginning, God created heaven and earth and all that dwell therein, plant and animal life alike; he created them out of the dust of the earth and blew the breath of life into their nostrils. I might have some critics to differ with me on this statement, but I believe that when God blew his breath of life into man, his soul also entered, creating within man virtue and being. I believe this set the stage for diversity in creation.

    1.   Diversity’s Challenge and Racism

Diversity’s challenge in the maze of life should enable us to accept the differences in one another. All men are gifted with many diverse talents and personal characteristics that identify them in their unique culture that are yet a unique part of the same humanity. Well beyond our reason to understand how the universe works and its diverse functions lies the genius of diversity. The ingenuity of creation enabled all humanity with the mantle of genius and the light of diversity. The acceptance of diversity should enlighten one as they travel the intricate maze of life. I say this because when one learns to accept diversity, they have learned to accept the universality of man, his origin and existence.

Diversity should enlighten one as they travel the maze of life. We should allow the illumination of diversity to direct our paths as we journey into the unknown and unforeseen. Diversity is the child of wisdom, that age-old gift of experience. The science of diversity in the maze of life should allow one to be knowledgeable and understanding of life’s many challenges. The unique challenge that we face today is the grim reality of racism, the age-old practice of one race of people being superior to another. I don’t actually know when the deadly disease of racism began or had its start, but I do believe that this horrible disease is like a cancer eating away at our soul, bent on destroying every single fiber of humanity that we possess or that makes us normal. I believe that allowing the illumination of diversity to enlighten our paths as well as our lives will dispel a great many negative psychological aspects of racism. I believe that we, the American people, suffer from a mass psychotic/neurotic behavior due to racist practices that have persisted for too long and in the process have corrupted our thought patterns in vile and negative ways.
