About this ebook

Angel, Angel whisper in my ear
During my greatest discontent
Whisper love endures
Chase away the devils allures
Angel, Angel whisper in my ear
Tell me love lost will reappear
Give me strength through the day
Keep the Devils thoughts at bay
Angel, Angel whisper in my ear
Tell me God is always near
In a world in disarray
Help me to have a more charitable way
Angel, Angel hear my plea
In this you must agree
Take my hand when I die
Guide me towards my heavenly ties
Angel, Angel dear
Loneliness was what I feared
Angel, Angel whisper in my ear

I travel the United States of America on my Harley Ultra Glide (2009). Taking pictures with my Canon Power shot. I write poetry about the pictures I take. Sometimes nature releases ideas about people and the places I see. I work on these feelings and write my poetry. I hope you enjoy our trip.

    G.I.

They walk one step in front of another

Always in unison with their brothers

They train hard to protect Their nation

Protecting us from the terrorist invasion

Our men and women are sent to strange lands

To fight dangerous and fanatical men

Religious zealots who have only one plan

To destroy and expel the infidels from their land

Our soldiers fight a religious war

    A fanaticism they deplore

They see innocents killed every day

A genocide in a religious way

    Terrorist have a strict adherence

To a religion of complete indifference

The soldiers see their lack of compassion

Which only increases their determination and passion

When they come home ; show them your pride

Show them you will stand by their side.

Take care of them in sickness

Take care of their mental wellness

    Thank God above

For taking care of our soldiers we love

    We should expect no less

    Apples

    Steaming hot with baked cinnamon

    Picked fresh from the tree

    Ten bushels for my mom

Orchards and orchards of apples for free

    Pies and apple sauce

    Summer delights

Helping mom she is the boss

    Apple crisp and apples slices

No wonder I was a pudgy kid

Put the cooked apples capote in jars with lids

Set in the floor freezer to last all summer

Not every household had pastry chef for a mother

    Cakes,pies, and homemade bread

The smells and aromas are still in my head

You go back to my old home town

All the orchards have been cut down

No more walking from farm to farm

No more enjoying the smell of country charm

I feel sorry for those who can’t understand

    The smell of country cooking

when you stepped onto our land

It is a city where I once lived

    I am trying to forgive

    Those who asked for progress

Got smog and congestion in the process

Mom is too old to cook our apples

That is ok; my sisters and I are ample

We still have apple crisp and slices

But it is not as enticing

Gone are the bushel baskets of fun

The hikes we took long the river runs

    The cooked cinnamon apples

    My mother handing out samples

Those wonderful smells are still in my head

    Beyond

I believe life goes beyond being mortal

Maybe this is purgatory: our living portal

    A place of indentured servitude

    Visited by this magnitude

    Of invisible beings
