About this ebook

This book is a collection of poems and prose written over a number of years. It is inspired by the unmistakable magic of Africa. Each page paints a picture of life in Botswanafrom the vivid unforgettable sunsets and the clownish wildebeest to the stately grace of the elephant and the unrealized beauty of the spider. Through all seasons and even the occasional drought, living in Africa truly is a unique and unparalleled experience.

    Are like a new love

A love that flames with feeling

And warms the heart and soul

But this flower of love is fragile

And like a rose it too bears thorns

Which many a lover has felt
